    Just say no. Don't buy. Product description is wro

    I bought this product for my office in my basement. I was informed that it was self evaporating and that a drain hose was not required. I got it home and read the booklet and a drain hose is mandatory. Having to have a drain hose makes this unit totally useless. My basement is the lowest part of the house. Do I have to run a drain line all around my basement to my sump pump ? This is dumb. What if I put it in my dining room. Would I have to drill a hole in my outside wall for this stupid drain hose ? MANY other manufacturers have self evaporative operation which eliminates the drain hose. Why in the world did I buy this. I will never buy a MIDEA anything ever again. It will be going back to BJ's as soon as I can get it back upstairs..

    Most Amazing Air Conditioner Ever!

    This air conditioner is the best I've ever used! It can be controlled from the unit itself, with the remote, and you can download an app and control it from your phone! With the app, I can turn it on when I'm heading home from the store, work, etc. and let it start cooking things down before I come home. It is also voice controlled which is even better when I'm laying on the couch and getting too hot or too cold and need to adjust it without getting up. It has multiple fan speeds and settings to find just what you need. It really is an amazing air conditioner!

    Terrible Product

    First unit failed after 3 months.. I replaced with the same product thinking it was a one-off. Second unit came with a broken wheel and lasted 3 months of use again until it stopped cooling a room and now sounds like hurricane. . Identical issue both times. The unit was good when it worked, but be prepared to repurchase every summer. Side note: I have a similar 10 year old a/c from a different company in another room that’s still going strong.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with the midea portable air conditioner. The set it was fairly easy my husband did it within about 30 minutes. The air conditioner worked great it kept my house cool our living room dining room and kitchen. I liked that it came with a control everything was easy to use it responded well. I tried this product for several weeks worked well every single time. All of the functions worked great and responded appropriately. I am really looking forward to using it during this summer. I didn't experience any issues with midea air conditioner and would recommend it.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: app control and manual control easy to use, easy to connect in app, ice cold air, dry/sleep/fan settings Cons: instructions for installation and water drainage are poorly written making installation and maintaining difficult, must roll unit all the way outside to drain water unless I'm doing that wrong, but again the instructions are vague, gaps in window panel after install. Overall it's not a bad unit however for the troubles experienced with installation, I feel the price point is a bit higher than the value received right out of the box. I would recommend to a friend if the unit was on sale as the unit blows ice cold air, has a fan option and sleep abilities as well as creating schedules in the app. It was very very easy to connect using the app !     Great Portable AC Unit, Glad We Have It

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free in exchange for an unbiased review. I review lots of products so honesty is key for me. I received this unit mid to end of April 2024, right before it got hot. As an initial trial, we put it in my daughter's bedroom with is about a12x14 room. She reported that it kept her room cool, but was a little loud even on sleep mode. She said it seemed louder on sleep mode. In May when it warmed up routinely, we moved the unit downstairs in into our 2-story great room, so larger than the 450 sqft it is designed to cool. Keep in mind this unit is NOT made to cool a room this large. We need to replace our whole house A/C but are trying to put it off due to other household projects. This unit has been a life saver. With the aid of our ceiling fans, this unit has kept the first floor of our house cool and helped us limit the use of our home A/C unit. It might just get us through the summer! The one caution I give is this unit will pull moisture from the air! There is a dehumidifier mode, but even without that on, it still pulls some moisture. There is a tube to attach to drain the unit. However, make sure you have something large enough to hold the water! We did not initially and ended up with a huge puddle on our hardwood floor. Thankfully with dehumidifier mode we were able to dry out the air and floor and it did not buckle. After that, we use a detergent bottle inside a bucket. We check the bottle often and empty it and if we're gone for an extended time, any overflow goes into the bucket. We would recommend getting a longer house and running it outside via the window or into a drain. Instructions tell you to drain into basement drain but really, If you're cooling a room, it's probably not in the basement! Maybe dehumidify in the basement, but not cool. I docked 1 star since we could not get it to connect to the Hubspace app to control remotely. Midea should contract with another provider. Hubspace is notorious for connectivity issues.

    So grateful for this machine!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an older house and a couple of our rooms don't have ducting so it gets sooo hot in them. We were able to put this together easily and put it in one of the bedrooms and it's so easy to use. We hooked it up to the WiFi and use voice control to control the temperature and it is energy efficient and works really well! I'll definitely buy more of these. They come at an amazing cost point and easily able to assemble!

    Easy cool and practical

    Exactly what I needed

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this portable air conditioner in my kitchen, it's the warmest room in my home, esp during summer here in the south. I am really impressed with how quickly the machine cools off the room. The fan really pushes out the air with lots of power and it was easy to connect to our Alexa for voice control! I will say the vent that connects to the window doesn't seem to secure very snug. Anytime I move the device on its wheels, the vent will pop off with any small movement or adjustment. But overall I absolutely love it, it works better than I imagined it would and now I can cook comfortably in the summertime!

    Best airconditioner I've ever owned!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This airconditioner is absolutely wonderful! It's truly portable as it has wheels to push it room to room. It only has one hose for exhaust and it's super easy to install in a window. It's powerful motor easily cools a medium to large space in minutes. It also has a dehumidifier built in to keep humidity down. My favorite part is its wifi capable and with voice control, I can turn it on, change the temperature or set a timer and not have to touch the unit to get it done.

    Great for a cool down

Installation is a breeze and instructions are clear for various sets of windows. The unit is quiet, yet effective in cooling down a room. Also, it cools the room pretty fast and I highly recommend anyone who needs an AC unit to get this one for those hot summer days.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got this portable air conditioner, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer! The best part is the smart temperature control - I can set it to just the right level of coolness, and it kicks in automatically whenever it gets too warm. Oh, and the auto shut-off during sleep mode? Genius. No more waking up freezing in the middle of the night! Plus, it cools down the room super quickly. Seriously, it's will be such a lifesaver during these upcoming hot SoCal summer nights! Highly recommend.
