I don't understand how these are considered sateen. After one washing (according to manufacture instructions), they are rough to the touch. There's no way these are 400 thread count. As I was putting them on the bed and holding them up to the window, I could see gaps in the stitching around the elastic. I know, I know, what do you expect for $33? I bought them because of the rave review from the New York Times Wirecutter. My experience could not be more different.

I love these bed sheets! I got them in the color “sour cream” which I find to be an odd name but whatever. Had to wash them first because they smelled kind of funny given they were on the store shelf for however long. I washed them in the normal setting with cold water, one tide pod, and fabric softener. Dried them on the lowest temp for about an hour and they came out clean and fresh! Have been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks and it gives me that confortable hotel bed feeling ♥️

I bought these sheets after they went viral as being the best and so soft. The are NOT soft. They are very stiff, even after multiple washings. When you wash them, they wad up in a ball. They do the same thing in the dryer so I have to always go and readjust them so everything dries evenly. Since they wad up in the wash and dryer, they are SO wrinkly. I do not understand all the hype. I'm convinced people just believe whatever they hear and can't form their own opinions.

I'm dispointed that these are no longer the same quality, feel and sizingthey used to be. I have purchased several sets of King sized white sheets from this line over the years and this was the first time they were too larger and didn't feel smooth and the worst for me, they don't fit tightly of the mattress and stretch out after lying on them. The picture whos how much they stretched after just a few hours of laying on them. I had to get up in the middle of the night to change them, it drove me nuts. These will be returned. I really did like the original Performance sheets and the Ultra Soft line- wish those woudl make a comeback.
