Q: Hi. I bought this vacuum couple months ago. It works super well on hardwood floor but on carpet, it is EXTREMELY difficult to move and push even with level 2 Brushroll. Is there something wrong? Help!

  • A: Like most vacuum cleaners there is a suction control actually just a little round ring that usually fits down on the handle and you can either open it which will give you the ability to vacuum rugs or throw rugs without having to feel like you’re pushing 400 pounds if you feel it’s not strong enough then you can close it some and you will get section ever sincecame out that’s it that’s all I buy. I will refuse to buy a Dyson one. It is expensive to. They will fall apart easily and for the third one I just don’t like them.

  • A: I would say there is something wrong with yours. We have had ours for 2 years and it is the easiest vacuum I’ve owned so far. I’ve never had an issue with this vacuum and I actually traded my Kirby in for this one. There is little to no resistance using this on the carpet with the brush roll on. LOVE this vacuum.

    Not great

    This vacuum really doesn't do the job. It doesn't pick up stuff on hardwood or carpet (using the correct settings of course). Really wish I could have gotten my money back on this. I would say I miss my Dyson, but that died in less than 3 years even though it worked amazingly well while it lasted. This also doens't get under most of my furniture because of its boxy canister which you can't totally visualize the way it is displayed online. The thing is really large. In the old days a big vacuum did a great job. Not true with this. Save your money unless you want to go over incredibly minor fluff 100x and even then have to pick a lot up by hand.

    Does not vacuum carpet. You cannot push it to vacuum carpet and it damages brand new carpet.

    Shark Lift away! Thumbs Down

    worst vacuum ever. Bulky, heavy hard to push. The lift away feature is horrible. Wish I never purchased. now I know why so many are listed on FB Marketplace. I previously had a shark upright that finally died. I loved that one. Can't imagine the wizard who designed this and thought it was great. Certainly no one who cleans and vacuums regularly! Don't waste your $$$.

    Replacement parts unavailable

    I bought this vacuum over a year . During my first vacuum it must have sucked up a rock. Instantly my roller on the motorized floor nozzle broke in two places making it worthless to use on the floor. Was able to use the lift away section a few times, but put it in closet after buying a different brand. Cleaning closet today I came across this vacuum. I figured I could easily find and replace this roller. No luck find it on your website., I have had good luck in the past with my previous Shark, but no luck with this one

    Too hard to push

    This is extremely hard to maneuver on carpet. I couldn’t push it forward on the carpet. I bought Shark Navigate 9 years ago so it’s disappointing that the new Navigator can’t be used on carpet

    Highly recommended

    I like the power in this vacuum It really does a great job. However, it is so heavy and cumbersome for me to use that I dread getting it out and usually ask someone to do it for me, which is not what I like to do. The vacuum is excellent, the weight and maneuverability is not. I should have taken it back, but I’m not a quitter.

    Great suction

    I love my new Shark navigator lift-away. It is the second one I've purchased. Over the years I have had several different brands of vacuums but Shark is the best. It has very strong suction. It easily comes apart for cleaning.and replacement of parts and filters. For me there is no better vacuum. If there is one thing I don't like its that it is tall and will tip over occasionally.

    Nice vacuum . Good suction. Convenient and lightweight. I like the attachments but they don't lock into the handle mechanism so they tend to slip out especially when cleaning couches and couch pillows. Also the length of the house causes the vacuum to tip and stub your toe. Add the handle attachment and u get more reach but still tips over and you end up dragging the vacuum or damaging a foot

    Do not buy this vacuum- it is incredibly loud on the carpet setting, the suction is fine on bare floors and almost impossible to move on carpet. The suction adjustment does nothing to help moving it, even on low pile carpet,

    Holy "suction"!

    Amazing

    I never leave reviews and I never thought I would be so excited about a vacuum but this vacuum is insane. My couch got covered in dirt while moving it and just using this vacuum alone got most of the dirt stains out without me even washing it yet

    Swivel detachable vacuum base broke off

    I bought this vacuum in September 2024. Initially, it worked great. The vacuum suction lifted dirt embedded in my carpet left behind by my old vacuums and the swivel vacuum helped navigate tight corners. The HEPA filter effectively traps dust which helped with people with allergies. The cons are that the hair wrap must be cleaned after each time I vacuumed my carpet and the assessories do not stay on the accessory holder on the vacuum. After a year and a half, the swivel detachable vacuum broke and completely detached from the vacuum, rendering it unusable. That has never happened to me before with other vacuum brands I've used in the past (Dirt Devil, Bissell, Hoover, and Dyson). I'm disappointed that this vacuum fell apart after 1 1/2 years of light use.

    BEST VACUUM EVER!!!

    10/10 recommend this vacuum! Works so so well on both carpet and non carpet! It’s nice because you can adjust the suction as well.
