Q: Hi. I bought this vacuum couple months ago. It works super well on hardwood floor but on carpet, it is EXTREMELY difficult to move and push even with level 2 Brushroll. Is there something wrong? Help!

A: Ilove mine, Recently I accidentally sucked up gum balls and luckily this vacuum has a cup things like that go into and I flipped open thetop door and took them out and finished my floors. Good luck.

submitted byJillian - 1 year agoA: I would say there is something wrong with yours. We have had ours for 2 years and it is the easiest vacuum I’ve owned so far. I’ve never had an issue with this vacuum and I actually traded my Kirby in for this one. There is little to no resistance using this on the carpet with the brush roll on. LOVE this vacuum.

submitted byhb - 7 years agoA: Like most vacuum cleaners there is a suction control actually just a little round ring that usually fits down on the handle and you can either open it which will give you the ability to vacuum rugs or throw rugs without having to feel like you’re pushing 400 pounds if you feel it’s not strong enough then you can close it some and you will get section ever sincecame out that’s it that’s all I buy. I will refuse to buy a Dyson one. It is expensive to. They will fall apart easily and for the third one I just don’t like them.

A: Yes! When you put the switch on bare floor the brushroll turns off.

A: Ours was making a high pitched noise and has zero suction. Checked hoses and large ome was completed blocked by a building block and trash!

The bad reviews were saying how it's heavy- I'd say it's pretty standard for a vacuum. No matter what vacuum I have had, it has not had this powerful of suction. The picture is me doing one small side of my bedroom. And that's after vacuuming yesterday with a different vacuum (that was $300 and wouldn't get up the dog hair). Highly recommend.

Great suction, bad designs for bin, have to reach in to pull out debris, won't just dump in. Gross and difficult if you don't have smaller hands. Also wand should not have to have handle on it, limits small areas that you want to get into. And if you don't hold base unit the tension and shortness of wand hose pulls base to fall on you, ouch. Difficult to get pieces apart for different functions sometimes as well. Plugs are too soft, easily bent when cord pulled around corner. Seriously good suction though

Too heavy for me. My hand hurts from day one and it definitely takes double the time to clean because it is not easy to move. The suction is not that good but yet it will stick to carpets and rugs, something must be wrong with the structure for leaving crumbs behind. And I regret not buying a lightweight cordless which is absolutely easy to use and are fast.

i’m SHOCKED. i have a cheap vacuum now and thought my rug/carpet was clean… Please look at how much it picked up😭 I live in an apartment! I have the rug seen in the picture and my bedroom, the rest is hardwood!

I bought it because I had an older version of the same model. This one is very difficult to push. The other one practically pushed itself. It doesn't compare to the older version. This one will be going back because I can't push it. They both are nv360 series. The old one is better made and heavier but it feels like it's self propelled and this one isn't.

No wonder this vacuum was basically half off. They are probably discontinuing it. The vacuum does not glide at all over carpet surfaces. If you have only wood or tile floors then it shouldn’t be an issue.

If the vacuum seems difficult to push or pull, if it is lifting up area rugs, or if you are cleaning delicate above-floor surfaces such as drapes, reduce the suction by rotating the collar counterclockwise to open the valve. Rotate the collar clockwise to close the valve when you need high suction for vacuuming floors and when using the Air-Driven Pet Brush. I am very happy with this vacuum! It picked up a ton of debrit, probably what was left from my previous vacuums that underpeformed. It even picked up larger items, that I would previously have to pass over several times and end up picking up by hand. I can just run the whole thing over my hardwood and rugs without having to sweep first. It is lightweight and easy to push, and goes from hardwood to rug easily, even my 5yo can use it. It fits into corners well and the emptying of the canister was a breeze. I absolutley love the option to separate the canister, so I can go up stairs or reach up high more easily. I highly recommed!

Ladies listen up bc I rarely write reviews. I’ve used a Dyson and Kirby for years. The Kirby is fine but way too heavy. The Dyson the was cordless, stick kind and much easier to handle. However, I’ve never felt more lied to. This Shark is THE vacuum to get. I will never by another Dyson. Embarrassing photos to show… this was only two area rugs that I regularly cleaned with the Dyson stick. Shark, send me all the products you got! I’m sold.
