Q: Is it Kosher certified?

  • A: Due to manufacturing complexity and increased costs, we discontinued Kosher certification for our products. However, some of our newer products launched within the last 12-24 months are Kosher certified. This is because our supplier and/or plant already had certification. This includes our Dry Baking mixes, Refrigerated Baking Goods and Ready to Bake cookies. More of our traditional products (mac & cheese, graham snacks, crackers) are not. We apologize for any inconveniences, and we will continue to evaluate the costs and complexity of certification to determine if we can return to Kosher in the future.

Q: Best pancake mix ever...My question is, can I use 1/2 cup buttermilk & 1/2 cup regular milk? I love buttermilk waffles but using a whole cup of buttermilk was a bit too strong...

    Coffee Cake

    I used the pancake mix to make a coffeecake. It's a recipe I think my mother got from the back of a Bisquick box, but it worked. Two cups of the mix, an egg, teaspoon of cinnamon, 2/3 cup of milk and two tablespoons of sugar. Then top with a mixture of 2/3 cup more of the mix, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 stick butter and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cooking at 400° F for 20 minutes.

    Please fix your ingredient ratio fonts & graphics!

    I LOVE this pancake mix! Yes, of course I can make it from scratch, but often they're just isn't enough time. The reason I give it a four star rating is because I noticed that about eight months ago someone brought to your attention that the ingredient ratios on the back of your box are a problem. I noticed that on day one myself. I recently just bought a new box and I see that nothing has changed. Honestly, this is such a simple fix. There is no reason why the ratios are listed in a black font #2 on a red box as opposed to being the nice bold, white font that is used in the recipe section. It is also unfortunate that you can't guess at what the ratios might be because apparently the graphic artist who wanted to represent one and a quarter cups milk for the pancake recipe filled the second cup in the graphic halfway ??? The mix graphic isn't much better honestly. There seem to be quite a few misses with your packaging and I'm just surprised that a company who takes such great pride in the quality of its product doesn't give the same attention to its packaging. Please fix this and I'll give you five stars!

    Baking soda

    This past year of buying it’s official it’s not me and it’s not that one batch.. the baking soda or powder is just so potent and lingers as a after taste I’m not sure why all of a sudden the taste has changed.. I don’t typically put syrup or honey I like it plain and you can’t eat it like that. My kids don’t really notice but they use the syrups and have chocolate chips to mask it. I had to switch to another brand unfortunately..

    Down the rabbit hole

    These are the best pancakes we've had, and they are a staple in our household. I do want to ask a question that has been bothering me. My family understands I am big on conspiracy theories, constantly looking for connections that are usually not there, and then met with frequent eye rolls. I get that insurance cards make numbers really tiny so that it makes it difficult for the elderly to go through the process of getting what they need. However, I am baffled by the reasoning behind the tiny print for the pancake recipe against the bright red background. Is it to create inter-generational connections by having me search for my son in the house to help me read the recipe? I can only think of the best intentions, as your pancakes are so very good. :)

    High level of sodium.

    I was looking for a healthy pancake mix for my daughter and I discovered this (organic is a plus) however, I also discovered the high level of sodium on it and I will not recommend it for babies.

    This is a quick and easy pancake mix. Overall taste is better than most other quick organic mixes. The Recipe Fractions on the box are too small. It’s 1 2/3 cup mix & 1 1/4 cups milk. Waffle recipe is different but it’s too early to hunt down a magnifying glass to guess what that says..

    Hi! I love your organic products! please make more organic gluten-free items such as pancake waffle mix; gluten-free organic cake mixes needed! I and the kids also love the Annie’s organic mac & cheese, cups, healthy, delicious portion, control, and convenient.     The consistency is so runny. You have to add more mix if you don’t want a runny pancake or waffle. Flavor is fine but I won’t be buying anymore until I know the batter won’t be so runny.

    Bad consistency

    I made it according to the directions and the batter was so runny, it made crazy thin pancakes, not like the photo. Later I made it again but for waffles and it was too runny to fill the waffle iron correctly. I added more mix and then they just came out very dry and stodgy. There is no way to get this to work.
