When coming across this product, I did some searching to see if this was safe for me or anyone else using it. And so far it was! This was back in 2022 when I came some that are best used before 2025. Anyway, I had bought about three of these. All of the product seemed safe according to ewg and using the Yuka app too. However an update occurred about the ingredient butyloctyl salicylate saying it was an endocrine disrupters of moderate risk. Everything about the product and stuff is good but this one made me think other wise and might switch to another once I’ve run out of this. Maybe they did some digging up about the ingredients and updated its scoring but otherwise better than other sunscreens. Good choice overall

Love this sunscreen! I wish it could be purchased in stores. For a mineral sunscreen, I found it easy to apply. I live on a lake and do a lot of water activities and it’s still effective hours later. Also, it received a wonderful rating on the Yuka app!! 5 stars

Will not shop at Target anymore.

Review is for Target Online, I bought 2 of these with a promotion of a $5 gift card. The sunscreen came shipped with an expiration date of next month. When returning the stuff at the store, they would not take the gift card back and I ended up buying the gift card. Target needs some serious quality control, trainings on their employees not to sell soon expired products, and their return policy. They are forcing consumers to “buy” their gift cards when returning products that come with gift cards as a promotion. I am sick of their acts and will not shop at their stores if I don’t have to. Many choices out there. The gift card thing will soon get you into legal issues.

I have tried several different mineral sunscreens that are EWG certified, since I only want to put clean ingredients on my face. So far this is the best as not being so sticky (Native brand is unfortunately super sticky).plus it has a nice light coconut scent instead of a gross chemical sunscreen sent! Will definitely purchase again.

I only use this sunscreen on my face on top of my daily lotion and before my makeup. It works so well and isn't greasy at all. I'm very fair so the white cast isn't as noticeable but I'm sure it's there. I like this because it doesn't make me break out and doesn't burn my skin like chemical sunscreens do.

If you’ve ever checked the products in other sunscreens they are AWFUL for your skin. The ingredients in here are 10/10 for you, but if you aren’t as pasty as I am you’ll probably be upset with the white cast this has (doesn’t phase me I’m like a ghost). That’s the only “complaint”

Great for a mineral option. Does not rub in as well as chemical versions, but does a pretty good job. Used this for a week in hawaii and didn’t get a single sunburn. You are required to use mineral options in Hawaii now, so I think this is a great option if traveling there

My opinion on this has swayed between liking it and not. It claims to be water resistant, which might be true but its not sweat resistant. I looked like I was sweating milk on my bike ride. It never dries down fully and always feel a little tacky. However for a mineral sunscreen, it doesn’t have a bad white cast. Its good.

Bought a few of these for vacation bc they were small and easy to pack. my daughter packed blue lizard. We got wet while sailing and I saw the water bead up on her skin and roll off while this stuff was coming off my skin as the water rolled off. It also came off my face with sweat so it’s pretty much useless

Reef safe! Worked great! The best of the 3 sunscreens we bought for Hawaii. While it seemed the thickest coming out the bottle, once warmed up in your hands it thinned out and rubbed on clear. Kept us from being burned all week! Highly recommend!!

I’ve used this sunscreen occasionally for hiking. For a zinc oxide, I think it blends in pretty well although I am pale. Unfortunately this last time I used it on a longer hike I definitely got some color—not necessarily burned but I also was barely in full sun for any appreciable time. I’m not sure if I just didn’t put on a thick enough layer or if it just doesn’t have enough block for my skin.

Everyone complaining about this - do you understand what non nanoparticle means? It won’t penetrate the skin, yes it’s sits on top of your skin for a reason. This is the BEST sunscreen I’ve ever used. A little goes a long way, as it doesn’t get absorbed by the skin. I have deep tan olive skin and if i don’t spread it properly it will leave white cast. But, if you spread it right you’ll be fine. This is the only sunscreen i use. Any nanoparticle sunscreen will break me out and i also don’t like chemicals entering my skin. I hope they never ever change their formula.

(I have dry-combination/acne-prone skin and use this SPF on my oilier days) Recommended by Hyram so I had to try it out, and I am so glad I did! I put it under makeup before going to a jazz club on a hot day with no AC and my makeup stayed put ALL NIGHT. I’d say its only con is its pretty visible white cast, as well as some pilling. Personally, I wear makeup over it so it’s not a problem for me. It also has GREAT acne-fighting ingredients. Give it a try if you’re on the fence!

i live in florida where i put this on daily. even on my face. i love this stuff! my skin doesn't dry out and it doesn't get oily as a result. i don't find that with my white skin that it leaves a white film...but i'm not tan either. i am out all day and i have never had to reapply. i have never had a sunburn either. i don't find this sticky as it soaks right in. it is very lightweight. i might recommend that it not be put on right after moisturizer. I think it’s okay. I would buy it again because I’m pregnant and need something that will not get absorbed into my skin. Yes, it does leave a white cast on your skin but I don’t mind because again I’m more concerned that it’s safe for baby. I have tan skin and decided to just put up with the white cast because the benefits outweighed that downside for me. I do think it does not protect as well as traditional sunscreen but I made sure I took shade when possible or covered with a towel when I felt the sun getting too hot.

Strong white cast, stung my face

Jen - 4 years ago, Verified purchaser
I had high hopes for this because it came recommended by multiple people. Unfortunately this is the worst sunscreen I’ve ever tried. I hope the company will consider modifying the formulation with feedback! This was just my experience with the sunscreen— I hope it works better for others! - Application: first very much like a lotion, then with further rubbing it in suddenly becomes very dry on the face and cannot move it around. - Smell: smells exactly like bubble toy for children - White cast: I’m Asian and cannot call myself tanned by any means. It looked like white plaster on my face if I apply the recommended amount of sunscreen. - Ok at this point I’m hoping to wear this as a layer under tinted sunscreen. But soon after application it started to sting a little on my skin. My skin did not react to it in other ways (e.g. no redness or breakout). I’ve never had this happen with any other sunscreen. - sun protection: I did not have a sunburn, though I was not outside for very long
