A: Jemma,
The #6 brush is mainly used to apply shadow to the mobile lid. You can also use it to apply a transition shade to the crease/hood and then use the #7 brush, a blending brush, with nothing on it to simply blend. You might even use the #8 brush to apply the darkest color in a limited area at the upper outside corner of your eye/hood and then use the blending brush again. Many people don’t blend enough. Gold comes off and infiltrates brushes
Gold comes off after multiple uses. I notices the gold coming off in my makeup bag it crinkle up amd is flaking off. After washing (oversue) this is what's left and it's still coming off.

These are my favorite make up brushes. I had my old set for like 3 years before the handles started to peel. I tried to replace them up Elf’s set and I hated them and took them back and bought a second set of Sonia K. The products go on so flawlessly and smooth with these brushes. I love these brushes— especially the large flat top ones that I use for foundation application. The smaller concealer one also is great at blending and I think work much better than the sponges.
