Buyer beware - formula has changed
This used to be a great product but I’m shocked at the intense fragrance added now. It’s too much even for an adult. Baby skin is known for being extremely sensitive to fragrance, so I don’t understand why they would’ve changed this. It was very irritating so will return it.

Overpowering smell for Baby.
I brought this in hopes of clearing my daughter's baby acne as to doing a search for products that won't irritate her skin. We discontinued use after 2 days at most because of the reaction her skin gave. Her baby acne got worser than what she started with. The smell was very overpowering, even when using on myself.

I used this with my first and second but this last bottle, the fragrance was a lot stronger and it irritated my both my one year old and three year old’s skin. Shame they changed the formula.

I LOVED this up until I just bought a second bottle and it smelled AWFUL!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I’m so upset because I loved the original smell and it was perfect for my babies skin! Not so much anymore. I will have to find a different product to use instead. Don’t know why they had to ruin a good thing.

Formula/Scent Change
This product was a little much for my newborns sensitive skin at first, but after she turned two months I gave it a go again and it worked for her with no problems, and I used it faithfully. I loved the scent especially, up until recently there seems to be a formula change. Product smells horrible compared to the pleasant floral scent it originally had. Will no longer be buying just off scent alone.

Acne Returns
Horrible, was recommended for acne even comes with a note on the product good for acne tested by dermatologist. As soon as I put it on my baby his acne reappeared and worsened! I had just cleared his acne however heard it was good for after eating to wipe the baby’s face and/or neck. Going to return, super upset, and waste of money

Changed formula - buyer beware! Horrible customer service
I’ve bought this cleansing water several times, starting when my daughter was only a couple months old with little baby acne for which it worked wonders. However, as of December 2025, the water has an awful strong pepper smell (smells like pepper spray!). It is so bad that I thought something was terribly wrong with the bottle I received so I contacted Mustela. The only response I got was that they just recently changed formulas. Shame on Mustela for taking what was once such a wonderful product with a light and refreshing scent and turning it into something I wouldn’t even let near my baby let alone put it on her delicate skin. Please spend your money on a product from another company that cares about their customers!

Stongly fragranced
I bought this product to hopefully help my newborn with the baby acne all over her poor face as it was recommended on many forums - but after only 2 uses we have decided it won’t work for us because of how strong the fragrance in it is. This is very disappointing because it is widely known that baby skin is highly susceptible to irritation with fragrances in products. Sad to see a product that is designed to help baby skin has such a strong (or any) fragrance/parfum added. We will be returning or using for adults.

Strong fragrance
I bought this product to help my newborn with the severe infant acne on her face because many forums recommended it. I have only used it twice on her face and am probably going to stop because of the strong fragrance in it. Products made for helping baby skin just shouldn’t contain fragrance as it is a widely known irritant. This saddens me as I was hopeful for the product.

Updated fragrance change is horrible
Started using this product a year ago and it was terrific. Loved the smell and the kids did too. I’ve recently bought and sent back the times due to the smell. Thought at first it was a fluke but after the third time realized they must have changed the fragrance. Very disappointed and will unfortunately not be buying any further.
