Q: Is this bpa pvc lead and pthalate free?

submitted by Elisa - 7 years ago

  • A: Hi, Product safety is our number one priority and all LeapFrog products are tested to meet or exceed all government, toy industry, and retailer safety requirements. Although BPA is not currently prohibited for use in toys, we are taking proactive measures to ensure that our new products do not contain BPA. All materials used in the manufacture of LeapFrog products are child-friendly and approved by the Toy industry Association and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). All plastic materials that are used in LeapFrog products are tested to ensure that they comply with the strictest Toy Industry Requirements for chemical and mechanical safety. LeapFrog pro-actively implemented "phthalate-free" in all products before any legislation was introduced by the Toy industry or other legislative agencies and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). LeapFrog has already taken the steps to voluntarily remove PVC from our products that had been used in the past. Although PVC with phthalates was used in plastic cases of books and software this has now changed. As of December 1, 2006 all Manufactures were required to meet certain standards regarding PVC/Phthalates for San Francisco City and County in California. LeapFrog has been and will continue to meet all toy industry standards for safety in both the United States, and Europe. We want to assure you that LeapFrog is always concerned with the health and safety impact of our products on our customers as well as on the environment.

Toy great, box smelled like marijuana

Item was great, exactly as expected. What wasn’t anticipated was receiving a shipping box that reeked of marijuana. The toy likewise smelled of it. I’m concerned not only about gifting an item to a small child that smells like illegal drugs, but even more so that the person delivering in my town and in my neighborhood is driving impaired. I did report this via Target and was passed up through 3 different persons, the last of which was moderately helpful and assured me this would be reported. None of the 3 was notably fluent in English, so communication was difficult.

    Great buy!

My toddler loves to point at things and ask, “what’s that?”. She has a similar book, but it’s not interactive. This toy is PERFECT! I got it for a long road trip and it entertained her for a long time, plus it’s educational. The audio is very clear, which is hard to find in toys these days. Highly recommend!

    Enjoy

Really love this book. It has bright and fun colored pages that baby loves. It is easy for little hands to point and touch. I also like that it has different settings so baby can hear the word and listen to the sound as well. I do wish it had more than 2 songs because the song button is what baby loves most right now lol
