The GPX BC232 Portable Boom box comes with a top-loading CD player that has a 20 track programmable memory and can play CD and CD-R/RW discs. The negative LCD display with white backlight makes it easy to see what track number is playing. An AM/FM radio with telescopic FM antenna and built-in AM antenna make this music system perfect for people on the go. A 3.5mm audio line input and built-in speakers allow users to play their favorite songs direct from their MP3 music devices. Each Portable Boom box comes standard with an AC power cable (included), or can operate cordlessly with 6 C batteries (sold separately)

    Great reception and sound

    I purchased this as a gift for my mother. She loves it. She said the sound quality is wonderful and the reception from the antenna is great. She lives in a rural community inside a mother-in-law apartment fashioned inside a garage. She was concerned about the reception. No problems at all.

    I got my new radio today. I love the color and the size. It plays my CDS great. My old radio stopped playing my CDS. The speakers are great, very loud.

    Just what I was looking for!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a small CD player for my bedroom with just basic features, nothing fancy. Just a few buttons to press to play CD's...did not want to spend a lot for features I did not need. This fit the bill. Most players have a lighted display, as did this one, which I did not want, but it is easy to place a pretty cloth over the display at night if you desire darkness.

    Great Boombox

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This boombox works well. Both CD player and radio work well. My only complaint is I wish the LCD screen was a blue light. I wanted to use this player to help me sleep, but that blue light is too bright and keeps me awake. Other than that, this player works as it should.

    Fun & fancy boombox

It was…but, I did not realize that it needed 6 batteries to run. I THOUGHT it also had an electric cord. Therefore, I did end up returning it so that we could get an electric AND battery operated one. It does look great though, shipping and packaging were also great, just not what I thot I was getting. My mistake. It came w/high reviews, that’s why I purchased it.
