They’re ok, I prefer the other Garden of Life Prenatals. I switch to these because of the DHA but they make me a bit nauseous and don’t taste great.

    No folate

    1 out of 5 stars
    vk - 22 days ago
Big pill, says folate but is actually folic acid. These were so hard to take while having bad morning sickness all day everyday. I’m disappointed I didn’t read the ingredients closer sooner, I have the MTHR mutation gene and I should have been taking a prenatal that includes methyfolate. I switched to another brand that has folate and are gummies that taste much better.

It is SO!!! difficult to find a good prenatal without biotin. I am thankful Target carries these. I also love that it has 100% OF vitamin and no synthetic. I don't find the smell or taste of these offputting at all. Maybe some people are more sensiitve than others.

    Improved scent and taste!!!

Targetangel - 3 months ago, Verified purchaser
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and have been taking these since about 5 weeks. I would agree with other reviews that they had a VERY strong smell/taste but to me it was overly sweet and artificial due to the scent they put in them to cover the dha/omega fishy smell, but it definitely made me gag. These used to come with 2 white little plastic cylinders that were the scent/flavor pods and I would remove them when I opened a new bottle because they were overwhelming. I would literally have to hold my breath, open the bottle, take out a pill and close the bottle, and walk across the kitchen before taking another breath, then hold my breath again (like you’re about to take a shot of tequila… lol) to put the pill in my mouth and swallow with huge gulps of water. I would then wash my hands twice bc I could still smell it. Buuuut the ones I bought this past month no longer have those plastic pods, they now come with a little scent packet and they don’t smell nearly as strong!! The scent and flavor are still the same but it is muchhh more tolerable to me now, so I would definitely consider this a big improvement. I still continued to purchase these my entire pregnancy despite the previous formula because of the ingredients. They do not contain synthetic vitamin sources and they have 100% of all the vitamins. I compared these to other well known brands like ritual and nature made (which I took with my first 2), and these had more and complete doses. Overall I would recommend these prenatals. Also they do contain rosemary extract but it’s in almost negligible doses as it’s listed as the last ingredient and most other prenatals will contain it as well as a preservative, so in my opinion it is not harmful.

I have never had an issue with these prenatals before. I actually quite like them, since they have 100% of everything you need. But the last 2 bottles I’ve purchased have been rancid. These vitamins are NOT supposed to smell or taste bad. They usually taste fruity. I will no longer be purchasing due to the unpredictability of quality.

HAS ROSEMARY EXTRACT. this is why it’s so important to read ingredients before buying and trying new stuff. I never finished my bottle cause these would give me horrible acid reflux and made me so nauseous. Stick with the prenatal your doctors give you or prescribed you honestly.

My friend who is a pharmacist recommended I start taking these while I was trying to conceive. Now, I’m currently pregnant and continuing to take them. My Obgyn said they have absolutely everything I need and the DHA is a must. Not sure what everyone is complaining about with the taste/smell as they simply don’t have one. I’ll continue to use these…

First time I took it was okay, I kinda didn’t mind the fragrance because at least it’s not fishy. After that first bottle I got a second one and all I could taste is fish past the fragrance. And I t feels like the fragrance somehow got stronger at the same time. Extremely unpleasant experience the smell sticks to your hands and lingers in the air. I would love to return it honestly.

Did you ever spray your mom’s perfume in your mouth when you were a kid? Just me? Alright. Well, let me tell you, these vitamins taste JUST like that. I bought them because they had decent reviews on Amazon…one of the reviews warned me about the “fragrance taste” but I thought, how bad can it be?! AWFUL. I can’t imagine taking these while pregnant because my taste and smell were 1000% heightened. Consider yourself warned. ☠️

Im not sure what people mean when they say these have a fishy taste they have no taste whatsoever and even smell nice. They have a faint vanilla-y or fruity smell to them. Its easy to swallow because of the shape and its also very squishy. Just started taking these but they were recommended by a friend becuase of the good ingredients.

One of the best prenatal vitamins I ever took. I haven’t had any adverse reactions to this. This is my 4th pregnancy and I can say that this is the one of the best prenatals. Baby gets everything it needs and I dont get sick. The smell is a bit off putting but it’s nothing really, just smells like herbs to me.
