Great Audio quality terrible operation
I bought this 2 days ago. (DP-UB420) AS a player the sound quality is fantastic. That said everything else about the unit is TERRIBLE. it is slow to respond to remote commands, i mean 5-10 seconds sometimes more when viewing video from YouTube it will lock up the picture will stop and/or go into slow motion while the sound continues. When it is in the mode, NOTHING WILL STOP IT. a button push can take over a minute to be recognized. If at all. I have a 1 gig download speed, and my last player, a Samsung NEVER did this. my old Sony did not do it either. I have downloaded the latest firmware, and it made no difference. I specifically bought Panasonic as they picked up the engineers from OPPO. This is the second unit that I have tried, the first did the same thing, so without spending 4 figures in us Dollars do you have one that works WELL? Needless to say it is going back unless you can remedy the problem

Best Budget 4k Player for Samsung TV

4k at the right price!
The Panasonic DP-UB-420-K is a mid priced player with enough features and performance of much expense 4K/UHD players. This player does not have Dolby Vision but for the price and performance it is first class. The player sets up in about 5 minutes. Remember to have a good HDMI cable, about $10.00, that will allow to get the best picture between TV and player. Place your 4K/UHD disc in player and let your player and TV adjust, then watch breath taking picture and sound. I used a newer movie "Spiderman No Way Home" and was ama,ed at the differences from the normal Blu-Ray to this 4K. Also when you put your disc's in the player, they start playing almost immediately, not like old Blu-Ray players. This player will also play "3D Blu-Ray 's", if your TV can except that format. Also a USB port in front for "other" media's. Another thing, my friend has a very expensive 4K/UHD player and it "locks up". So far, no problems. Got it on sale and cannot beat the fantastic performance. Watch normal DVDs and see how good they look too. Buy it why you can!!!
