I agree the smell isn’t good, but it fades quickly. This is the only moisturizer that works for my dry, sensitive skin on my face. I just bought 3 jars, so I must like it a lot!

I really like this product. I use it for my dry, often chapped skin. The musk-like odor has grown on me, so I almost like it. However, the consistency is a little inconsistent from one tub to another and problematic. It can be a little brittle and "crumble" with bits falling onto the bathroom floor. I have solved this by re-processing it on my own. I take 2/3 of a tub and melt it in hot water to a liquid state. Then I add 1/3 of avocado oil back into the tub, mix it, and let it cool. It takes an hour or two to resolidify. I find that periodically mixing it with a spoon while it cools, insures a very creamy texture that is easier to use. It seems like a lot of work to get what I need and want, but a tub lasts a long time and keeps my skin happy. (And, I am not using petroleum-based Cerave or Cetaphil products on my skin!)

I've been using this brand for over a decade. It doesn't get flakey like the others. I mainly use it as a lip balm. I'm glad Target carries it online now.

Smells awful and broke my baby out in an awful rash

When I opened it it was moldy

The smell was way too strong for me. I usually can tolerate different smells but this was not for me. I can still smell it even when I mix it with other lotions.

I like this product for its natural ingredients. However, I wish that they could come up with a consistency that's conducive to application. It's entirely too difficult to scrape the product out and rub it on.

I've used many Shea products and I found this one to be very unpleasant. it smelled like heavy cigarette smoke. In the jar it looked very chalky but I tested a bit and it was quite thin and smooth more like a balm than a raw Shea which I've typically found to be dense. I could not say how it works as the smell was so potent and unpleasant that I could not use the product.

I don’t know how anyone could stand the smell of this product. It’s like cigarettes. I don’t know if I can return it or not since I opened and tried it but I won’t be using it.

I love that this is a clean, nontoxic product and it moisturizes well. However, the unscented formula actually smells like stale cigarettes when applied to the skin. I had just gotten out of the shower and put it on just my left lower leg. My husband and I were both disgusted at the smell and I had to get back in the shower and wash it off. Even after two washes with different soaps, the smell still lingers. I won’t ever use it again.

Makes the skin happy, soft smooth if did exactly what I expected, I highly recommended it

Felt great, but tasted horrible. Do not recommend for toast so i had to knock off 1 star. However, you may be able to use it for baking?
