  • A: Yes, you can use Loving Tan Mousses and Gradual tans on your face.  See below our go-to tips for application: Tip 1: Apply a thin layer of moisturiser to your face, remembering to cover your ears and neck. This will act as an extra barrier stopping the tan from overdeveloping and clinging to the dry areas of your skin. Tip 2: Using a fluffy makeup brush, apply a small amount of the 2hr Express Mousse in circular motions. Remembering to blend down your neck, over your ears, and lightly into your hairline. Tip 3: We highly recommend rinsing the product off your face earlier than your body to prevent overdevelopment. After 2 hours gently rinse off with water and pat skin dry. The 2hr Express Mousse will continue to develop for 24 hours after rising. We recommend avoiding using moisturisers or oils, as well as swimming and excessive perspiration during this time. The Loving Tan range also includes a Deluxe Face Tan and 2hr Express Face Tanning Serum, which are both specifically designed for your delicate skin on your face and décolletage.     Terrible! Do not buy!

    It over tanned my hands and feet and did not tan the rest of my body. I slept in it after applying before bed. I got in the shower the next morning and any color that was on my body rinsed right off. Except my hands and feet which absorbed too much color and it wouldn't wash off. Very disappointed!

    Messy, streaky, dries skin

    I have used many tanning brands and this brand is THE WORST. I do not recommend at all. It is EXTREMELY MESSY, I have an entire process when I self tan- and this formula? Extremely wet, runs down the bottle sides. Application is TERRIBLE. Terrible being an understatement. It is extremely streaky and the formula drys your skin out. I use La Roche-Posay Triple Moisturizer when I tan because of how moisturizing it is, and this formula just was not it. I never do reviews, but for my tanning girls- stick to St Tropez or Bali Body.

    Wanted to love this

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Someone I follow on Instagram recommended this. I really wanted to love it. Maybe I got a color that is too dark, but it is really challenging for me to get on and for it to not look orange and for me to have very distinct lines. I even bought a minute and tried to do that in circular motions, but this is just not for me.

    Allergic reaction

    I put this tanner on and by night I broke out in hives, itchy bumps everywhere all over my body that the tanner was. Then rash then turned to hot and felt like I had a sunburn. I was rushed to the hospital because I was having issued breathing. They were able to give me a steroid and steriod cream that I used everyday until the rash was gone. And the rash lingered as long as the tanner was on my skin. Very scary, as someone who is an advid self tanner. . , this was the first time I used this product as well.

    I love this product . I like to leave the 2 hour on all day and even though it says there’s a risk to over develop that never has happened to me and I’m ivory white . The color is perfect. The dark shade makes me feel like I just came back from the tropics

    would give zero stars if I could

    I honestly can't think of a worse attempt at self tanning since I was 16 in the 90s. I exfoliated, shaved, put on lotion, used a mitt, worked fast but thoroughly (circular motions for over a minute) , and this was my third attempt using this product. Every attempt has been the same: awful. It's so blotchy, streaky and uneven. The very first spot the product touches leaves a edge that cannot get rubbed out. I'm so mad I spent so much money on this product. Do NOT waste your money!

    new favorite tanner

    I love this product! Literally so easy to use and makes you look so tan afterwards! I have used this the past year and it’s my favorite. I used it for graduation and it gave that perfect tan.

    Will never buy again - new formula

    Loving tan claims this is the same formula but new packaging…that is not the case. I compared with my old bottle (which I've used for years and LOVED) and it's slightly different. Now it has Dimethicone (silicone film), PEG-8 phosphate and more fragrance compounds. These products create a barrier-like layer on the skin, and for someone fair skinned like me, the DHA doesn't absorb as deeply and leads to a warmer/orangier tone vs. the deep olive based tone I used to love. I no longer recommend this product, I looked like a clementine using it. So disappointed, not worth the money any longer and this was my staple self tanner for an extremely long time.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the color of it but while applying I notice it got splotchy on my stomach right away and it also seemed to dry fast so I couldn’t spread it as much as I was thinking. It’s overall a good product I might buy again depending on if it continues to be difficult to apply.

    Barely see a tan

    Goes on easily and instant color. If you are fair skin, make sure you buy the medium. Dark will be way to dark on you.

    As good as a spray tan

    I was so happy with the results of this self tanner. I usually get airbrushed about 4 times a month but that adds up. This was quick and easy. The tan was natural and streak free.

    Not Worth It

    The color was great while I was marinating but after two and a half hours, it rinsed off almost completely. I know that I did all of the proper prep and followed the instructions to the T… I was extremely let down by this, especially for the price.

    By far the best!

    Have tried many self tanners over the years and this is my fave. Easy application, very forgiving if it's not a great application by me. Color comes up fast and stays for a few days. Applying lotion seems to prolong. Love it
