  • A: The recommended serving is 200mg but each tablet is 100mg. I was advised to start off slow with 100mg about 60/90 minutes before bed and build up from there over time.

    Regular and Rested

    Doctors Best is a very good brand offered by Swansons. This magnesium glycinate is my favorite formula. It keeps you regular and helps you get more restful sleep. You will feel a difference within a week. I highly recommend this brand.

    Magnesium is so important for our overall health. This brand works great for me. I have been sleep deprived for years.     Hard to swallow

    I’ve never had a pill that’s harder to swallow. I’ve started to cut them in half and they are still hard to get down. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase for this reason.

    Fast Acting Great Magnesium

    Doctors Best High Absorption Magnesium works very well. Several family members in our household use this one with no issues. Only one tablet needed. Twelve hours later, bowels move great proving that this definitely works very well. We also order the capsules because of less ingredients/additives. It would be nice to see the tablets being made with less additives, in the future. We are grateful for the affordability and effectiveness of this product.

    Tough to swallow

    Great product from an excellent company but it's a bit tough to swallow as others have said. No stomach upset but it's a challenge getting more than one pill down.

    Excellent product. Excellent price.

    I have used this product for several years and find it to be easy to swallow and apparently it is absorbed well as I had been plagued by constipation for years.....now gone ! The price and amount of tablets from Swanson is without a doubt, the very best around, and I have been buying it for many years.

    Works great!

    I had suffered from muscle spasms and read that magnesium helped relax the muscles. However every other magnesium supplement gave me the runs. Doctors Best Magnesium has been a God-send!

    Great product!!

    A huge percentage of all people a deficient in magnesium. My blood test results reviled that I was indeed one of those. I started taking this magnesium and within 2 weeks, my knees quit hurting and I was sleeping better!! I love this stuff!!

    This seriously helps me!

    I have been taking this for a couple years now. I would say what I take it for and what it has helped, but Swanson wouldn't let my past review publish. It's nothing of a sensitive issue, which makes it baffling. I will say that I was taking two pills and ended up with some IBS, so I dropped to one pill and it is still effective. This SERIOUSLY helps my problem (but, I can't say what it is because Swanson is weird). PS. Doctor's Best is made in the USA.

    Sleeping much better

    Excellent product. I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer. Pills are a bit too large and hard to swallow, but the effectiveness makes it worth it.

    It works buy relaxing me. I feel it is being absorbed into my system better than other Magnesium's.

    Very good product, but very dry tablet making it very hard to swallow.
