Industry standards require all shampoo and conditioner bottles to leave 10% of the bottle empty, to account for shipping conditions such as varying temperatures, which helps to prevent the bottles from splitting open during transport. Usually the causes of hair breakage includes over processing, frequent use of the hair dryer on a hot setting, and use of straighteners, heated rollers, or curling irons. To prevent breakage, we recommend using moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. Also be sure to use a heat protectant before drying or straightening your hair. Also, a product's consistency can change if exposed to extreme temperatures. For example, if it was really hot or cold outdoors when it was shipped, the product may appear much thinner than normal, and it may not return to a normal consistency even at room temperature.
