Defective Design in Control Panel

I had this deep fryer for four months. In the fourth month, the plastic control panel melted due to some manufacturing or design defect under the plastic control panel. I feel fortunate that I had an eye on it while it was heating up - I would not be surprised if some users turned it on and walk away for the 20 minutes it takes to heat up the oil. Costway's customer service contact on their website for the manufacturer warranty was no help. They insisted I contact Target. Thankfully, Target is great and will be issuing me a refund despite being outside the return window.

Ignore the dislike rating. Some users write bad reviews for strange reasons. This deep fryer has (1) A timer; (2) Made of Stainless Steel; (3) Has temperature control; (4) Made from great brand; (5) Sold by Target and at great price. Deserves 5 Stars
