Worked well for a long time
Worked well for a long time (ten years or more). Now the lid has some cracks and I really just want a new lid. Baring that I will get a new one. We got a replacement and within half a day I knew it would not work. Besides its great durability I am only going to replace it with something that functions the same way. I can slip something in without have to go stand in front and use my foot tolift the lid I read some of the reviews "The back swing hits the wall making it hard to use; I don't want to put it in the middle of the room"; we move ours half an inch from the wall, duh. In the summer we can get the tiny fruit flies; when that happens we use the other can to with a lids that goes on securely and put all of the food garbage in it. I use Glad Flex bags that has a draw string; maybe they make it slightly larger, but it fits on tightly.

Bags won't fit
I also am having trouble getting bags to fit. Im usng Glad flex tall kitchen bags. The top of the bag will not stretch to fit the outside of the can. I have to use 30 gal bags in a 13 gal can.

Bags don't fit
I bought this can to replace my 25 year+ old plastic kitchen can. I liked the top, the ease at which it could be cleaned. However what I did not expect was that the box of 13 gallon bags with about about 50 bags left is useless. Also several small count bags of different brands also do NOT fit. What good is any trash can if you cannot find bags to fit. Note: I also bought a Hefty Touch-Lid 13 gallon and I can't find bags to fit it either. WHAT KIND OF BAGS WILL PROPERLY FIT THIS CAN?! I prefer the drawstring kind but open to any at this point.

Poor swing lid function.
Swing lid does not operate as advertised. Does not stay closed due to off balance. There is no mechanism to keep lid closed or to operate as advertised.

Pros and Cons to Swing Top
I purchased the swing top can with the thought of using it for recycling. I loved that the lid had extra space in it. My thought process was that I could fit extra bottles and cans in it. The thing that I liked most is also the thing that I don't like ... the swing top. I did not think it through that the lid had to have room to swing open. This was my mistake Overall, though, the can has a clean appearance and is a good size for the kitchen.

A great trash basket
I would recommend this trash basket. It is durable and heavy duty. It's great that is heavy duty because the trash won't smell as bad and lasts a long time. I would highly recommend!

Perfect for my trash
This trash container is perfect. I can put most things in there and it will not smell. It is easy to use. It rarely gets dirty or smelly but when it does, it is very easy to clean the trash bin.

Useful for certain things
I really like this garbage for recycling. It's very easy to drop glass, cans and paper in it. I didn't love it for regular garbage because the top hits the garbage when it gets full.

Long lasting and inexpensive!

Wastebasket
I have used this trash can in my kitchen for a while. I love that since the outside surface has a slick texture that it is easy to wipe down and keep clean. The lid swings and keeps me from having to open and close the lid manually. The construction is durable and really has held up

Really handy in the garage
We use this can in our garage. It’s placed just inside the garage door where everyone comes in. That way, all our trash out of the car can be easily dumped every time we come into the house. It’s also handy when we are out picking up debris in the driveway or yard. It’s just a handy way to get trash out of the way.
