Matter Compostable Snack Bags

I LOVE that these bags are compostable. It makes me feel.good to know that I am not adding more plastic waste everytime I give my kids snacks. The only think I don't love about them is all the writing on the bag. It makes it hard to see the snack that is inside.

This is a great snack bag with the added benefit of being environmentally friendly. For a family that uses plastic bags for the kids on school days, we go through quite a lot of them. Knowing and having the piece of mind that these bags can do the job AND be composted is amazing!

These bags are good quality. They’re not too thin, but they are a little small. I do understand it’s a Snack size not a sandwich size, but I wouldn’t personally get this size again. There’s not a whole lot you can fit in there.

like the size of the bags but the seal is horrible. I have the hardest time trying to get the bag to close and when I put liquid in it it leaked. I like the thickness of the bag and feel it's very heavy duty.

Good bags. Easy to open and close and they work well for holding food, snacks and even odds and ends. My only complaint is the writing ALL OVER THEM. I mean it’s everywhere. To the point that you can’t even see what’s inside. It’s absolutely silly and will keep me from buying them again. I love to help the environment, but that part was a huge miss. No need at all.

Love these bags and the whole idea they stand for. I packed some blueberries yesterday, and did not eat them, I put them in the fridge and they are nice and crispy, no sweating. The closure is nice and firm, easy to close. I recommend.

These baggies work great. They are a bit hard to unzip the first time out of the box. But they are easy to close and feel really strong and durable. I haven’t had a bag break on me. I like the tips and facts on the bags, I do with they all didn’t have the same one. The extra benefit to these bags it they are compostable so I don’t feel bad about throwing them away.

Nice compostable snack bags. For some reason the texture is really smooth and I like it. They seem more sturdy than regular snack bags. I haven’t had a chance to compost them yet and I have no idea how long it takes them to break down. It is also not listed on the bag.

These compositable snack bags are pretty good. They hold up just as good as regualr bags if not better. They are a great snack bag size. While they close up easily, the seal is very durable. The bag itself holds up to a variety of items.

These are really great. I feel as though they may be just a hint smaller than the regular snack bags, but I like that they are opaque and the zip on them is really sturdy. I'm not sure there are a lot of people who would want compostable bags, but I'm very happy with them!

These compostable snack bags are a great eco-friendly alternative. The size is perfect for small snacks, and knowing they'll break down is a big plus. They aren't quite as sturdy or easy to seal as traditional plastic bags, but for dry snacks and reducing waste, they work well. A good option.

The bags are actually pretty sturdy and can be used multiple times. The closure can be difficult to open on the first try sometimes resulting in the bag getting a little stretched (the bag even says "gentle with the earth and gentle with the seal when opening). I'm not huge on all the wording. I get it delivers the message, but it's a little tacky. The one side just says "compostable" and I think that would be enough.

Functionally, these are decent bags. They function how they should function, good for smaller amounts of food or things you want to carry. They were reasonably sturdy, but I would not use them for long term storage of small items. As for the compostable claim: these are not backyard compostable, only commercially compostable. That means you need to have a commercial composting service available for these to decompose properly. That also means they will not break down in the anaerobic environment in a landfill. This product has a cool buzzword on it, but it does not actually perform better than traditional plastic in actual use.

These snack bags are just what I've been looking for! The size is perfect for snacks that my lil one brings to school and the quality of these bags is excellent. These bags are not like the traditional snack bags because they are very durable and seals the snacks securely without and rips or tears. The very best part about these bags is they are compostable, which is a huge plus!

I like the idea of the compostable bags. We try to use the reusable bags as often as possible, but these are a great option for smaller sized snack items to take on the go! My daughter was so excited to bury the used bags in the garden after she was done with hers.

I try to use reusable bags or glass containers when I can, but I appreciate the convenience of a one time use zip baggie. What I enjoy most, is that other foods/odors don’t penetrate the bag like other clear versions.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from these bags but they are great. I love that they are better for the environment. They seal well and the size is perfect for taking a snack a long for school or a trip. I would definitely purchase them!

I thought these bags were a cool idea, as I have been trying to use more reusable containers. These bags do not feel sturdy… I felt that if I opened the bag too hard, it might rip. In fact, there is a warning to that effect on the bag. I didn’t like using this bag. I packed my lunch to take to work, and I put some pretzel sticks in a bag. I ended up not eating them, so I left them at work to eat the next day. When I went to eat them, they were already stale! I had to throw the pretzel sticks away. I would not use these bags if you need to keep anything fresh for an extended amount of time.

These bags are sturdy, seal well, and hold a perfect snack size portion. We use them for kids lunches and compost them when they’re no longer usable! Just the right size for a bunch of grapes, jumbo strawberry slices, or a few cookies! Use these bags instead of plastics!

After visiting other countries recently I realized that composting is a great alternative to plastic. These bags being compostable is a great alternative for small snacks on the go and they have made me feel better when I am done using them.
