The Brita 6 Cup Water Pitcher is a popular choice for guests seeking a compact and efficient way to enjoy filtered water. Many appreciate its sleek design and the refreshing taste of the water it produces. However, some guests have reported issues with durability, particularly regarding cracks and leaks. Despite these concerns, the pitcher remains a convenient option for reducing bottled water consumption and fits well in smaller spaces, making it ideal for college students or those with limited fridge space.

Water looks clearer
Super easy to set up and and easy for my preteen to remember how to fill. He’s a water goblin and I’m sick of hordes of water bottles in his room. My brother who is on the spectrum is about to by one himself. He is extremely picky about water taste and guzzled a pitcher full when I offered him a glass to try.

Please don’t use this one. I got it to make sure I would be drinking better-quality water, but unfortunately one night I forgot to drink it and left it in my glass. The next day, there was black soot at the bottom of the cup. I think this filter might be adding some chemicals to the water.

Does absolutely nothing read my review
So I’m gonna add this to every Brita pitcher everywhere I see them. I have been using these pitchers for years. YEARS. I always thought they were taking out the impurities and iron and stuff like that. Nope they’re not. How do I know this? I recently bought a Culligan zero water pitcher. It has a little meter that clicks into the side of the picture or you can take it off to test your water. So I thought OK there’s not gonna be much of a difference. I tested my water out of the tap. it read 274 apparently normal my area. Then I got some water out of my Brita and tested it. It read 270. I thought there’s no way. So I have a different Brita so obviously I poured some out tested it. It read 269. Tested my tapwater again in a different part of my house 274 so then I put together my Culligan tested the water coming out of the faucet at red 274 put the filter in let it run through and then tested the water straight out of the Culligan. It read zero. ZERO. So then I was so blown away. I went over to my neighbor’s house and repeated the process. The water out of her tap was 275 and then I tested her Brita pitcher water it read 271. I am honestly shocked. I’ve been wasting all this money all these years thinking I was drinking and giving my animals clean water. At that point I got curious because I buy distilled water. Also, would’ve thought that the number would’ve been really low came up at 42 which is still a heck of a lot better but I would think after being distilled it would read pretty close to zero also so I don’t think I’m buying distilled water anymore and I will never buy another Brita and my advice to you would be not to either

Thank you for the opportunity to discuss our Denali Pitcher and for your continued loyalty, Meg. We don't make claims about TDS reduction at Brita, because TDS isn't a measurement of water safety. It's only an aesthetic (taste) measurement. Additionally, TDS is not even an aesthetic measurement everyone wants to reduce, since TDS includes minerals widely considered beneficial, like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Lastly, water taste and aesthetics are highly subjective. 100% removal of TDS does not guarantee better-tasting water. good water, gimmicky pitcher
I like the taste of the water that comes out filtered and it's saved a ton of hassle with disposable plastic water bottles. I only have two complaints: the filter light indicator is just a gimmick, it's just a guess on timing based on the pouring motion, so it's not actually based on the water or filter itself.... just took out a VERY MOLDY filter after the water started tasting funny but the filter indicator was still GREEN. The other issue is that you have to fill the reservoir twice to fill the pitcher completely and it trickles very slowly through the filter (which I'm sure is why it works!) but this means that the pitcher is really only ever half full so only one water bottle can be filled at a time
