Clearblue has come out with testing sticks to help you identify if you’re experiencing perimenopause or menopause! I knew I was currently experiencing symptoms and this test confirmed I’m going through early perimenopause. Just like regular pregnancy tests, you simply pee on the tip or stick it in a cup of your urine. It comes with 5 sticks and you test every other day. Mine showed 2 lines every time I tested wich apparently means early perimenopause. You download an app where you enter the information from your tests and the app confirms what stage you are in. These are perfect for any woman wanting to know what stage you’re in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack of tests is very simple to use being they are exactly like pregnancy tests which most women concerned with perimenopause or some form thereafter have likely had experience with. They are very ergonomic and are a fantastic length, so there is no splash back onto your hand if using the test directly into your stream as opposed to a cup. As for the accuracy I can’t be 100 percent sure, but the tests seem to be highly sensitive. The only drawback is that an app must be downloaded to use the product which is always a turn off for me personally because I already have far more apps than I need, and whomever came up with the subscription model that plagues our bank accounts monthly for eternity should be ashamed of themselves for digging the remaining middle class of this country straight out of existence. This is a paid service from what it appears, but it was gifted by Evernow a partner company of Clearblue or something similar to that. They footed the bill, but I am not sure if that is with every box purchase or because I was gifted the product in exchange for my honest opinion of their product. I was surprised to see it say I was in premenopause which is what you are in the moment you have your first period up until you enter perimenopause which I felt I had symptoms of after hearing so much about it lately. Of course these symptoms seem to be aligned with a variety of ailments, and can even be the results of being in burnout which most women in this society are experiencing to some degree as the expectations on us have increased with our increased “freedoms.” I will be 43 next month, had three kids later in life, and have had a lot of strange issues with my body since our last 4 years ago was born. My periods are extremely heavy and my stomach is distended and I am anemic and have a vitamin D deficiency all of which has began in the last 3-3.5 years; however, it seems that perimenopause is a ways away for me at this point. It is refreshing to have an idea to eliminate the possibility. I appreciate this product for that peace of mind and for the education it is providing simply by existing.

I would recommend reading the instructions completely before starting. The app has a an alarm reminder to test, which I recommend putting on. It is hard to remember to do it every other day. I think these tests are great for people that suspect they may be in menopause or maybe having some symptoms they are curious about before they make an appointment with the doctor.

I don’t think it so accurate. My tests came back negative but I could be perimenopausal. The issue I have with the test is that everyone’s numbers are different and the test does not take into consideration what numbers reflect the stage for you. When I was pregnant with my sons the Clearblue pregnancy test always said I was not pregnant when I was. Even the blood test said no. My numbers would not meet the requirements for showing up as positive and I think this is what is happening. I prefer seeing a doctor and find other ways to determine my Menopause stage.

First, you can't use it under a variety of conditions, including using hormonal birth control so it's useless to me. Second, you have to download their app and input the results into the app to get your stage, which I am very opposed to. I don't want my data shared, leaked or sold, and I'm certainly not inputting any kind of menstruation data into an app, not when I don't have a federal protected right to bodily autonomy. Sorry, this one is a huge miss for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm in that time of my life... Hot flashes. Moodier than usual. No period. Menopause. We know that there are different phases but how do you know which one you are in so you can best try to get a handle on the symptoms? Well, enter Clearblue... Or as my friend calls it... The only rest I ever passed in high school 😂. So they send 5 tests that look just like the pregnancy tests and you take the test the same way. Pee on the stick or dip it in a cup of urine. One line is a negative. Two is positive. You do this every other day. Then you log your symptoms and it it gives you a report about what phase you are in. Seems simple enough... Well, they say you need to take the tests first thing in the morning as that is when the hormones they are testing for are at its highest. This seems easy, but often I go in the middle of the night or am hazy in the morning and forget and go. So I missed my first day I was supposed to test. So I logged the first four tests the days the day after as I was "supposed to"... readjusting my schedule after missing the first day. I couldn't find a dlwat to adjust my first test date after scheduling. Then I forgot the last day and logged that test a day late. I logged all my symptoms each day. So, when I should have gotten my results at the end, it said it was inconclusive because I "miss tested" so many days. I tested positive the first two tests and negative the last three so I guess I'm perimenipause. But it was a big let down. They of course want you to buy another box and retest all over again. Frustrating. I think it would just be easier to go see my doctor and find out the easy way.
