Great self-closing can with superb warranty service.

I really like this 45L Step Can! It's actually my third one that I purchased. I orginally bought it years ago in a shiny black finish and when I went to get a new one, that color was no longer available. So I decided to get the stainless look and it's so nice. I love that it's not too big, it's the perfect size for my kitchen. I highly recommend this can.

Came with a dent in the side that I banged out. The sent for the freshener smells like old trash to me. Maybe I got one from a bad batch. Will use a different scent pod in the future. Easy to clean and is otherwise sturdy.

but here we are. Great design, excellent material, especially the black one. I had the white one for my old house and when I moved I got the black one. Absolutely worth the premium price imho.

Our old trash can would make me angry to use because the lid collected so much dirt and grime. This trash can makes life so much better!

Designed well, looks great and complements all the other stainless steel in the room. Liners fit snug and don’t slip off. I recommend this product and bags.

We love this trash can. After eight years my old one groaned every time is closed. The company was true to its warranty and sent me a new one. Glad to have this full sized, quiet, and easy to clean trash can in my kitchen again.

Bought this to replace a simple human can that I bought 12 years ago that finally broke. Great purchase- perfect size for 1 person household, beautiful finish and the best part is the storage compartment for bags- so convenient.

we’ve had this trash can for a long time and during our move to our first home (YAY) a piece on the trashcan broke. Simple human made using the warranty SO easy and were SO nice. I will forever be a simple human girl!

Finally changing out my SH butterfly dual bin. I did search other brands but ended up staying with SH. The pedal is metal so you don’t have to worry about it cracking unlike many other competitors.

This is my second Simple Human trash can. My folirst was the half-round that I bought 7 yrs ago. It still operated smoothly. Unfortunately, my toddler grandson used the top as a drum, so it had some dents. A kitchen refresh called for a new one, so I bought the stainless steel rectangle shape. Very happy with the foot pedal and sliw-close lid.

It holds more with no can liner. Convenient liner storage. Compact and attractive with the compost caddy. A more streamlined approach to reducing waste and encourage recycling.

Looks nice, really soft close, handy pocket at the back for bags. Would recommend

Our old SimpleHuman trash can that we had for about 20 years was terrific until the foot pedal final broke. It was such a good product that I didn’t even look at other brands once we had to purchase a new one. This new model, which is the same size as our old one but taller, with a narrower base, and a large bump on the backside to hold Simple Human branded bags, is unstable and tends to lean outwards after a few uses, thus requiring me to pull it out from the wall and reposition with the narrow base and bulky bag holder up high, it seems top heavy Our old one was squat, with a wider base, and never moved around on the floor. It stayed in place. This one appears to have been redesigned to allow for the branded bag holder, a feature I will never use and which feels like a money grab. (I will continue to buy garbage from the grocery store as I have always done). This ba holder projects out the backside of the can up at the top, and results in a space behind the can at the bottom half. This space is what allows the base of the can slide in towards the wall over time as I push the pedal to lift the top. Good news is the construction still feels like the same quality as our old can which lasted 20 years, so that’s a good thing. It’s a solid product with one nagging flaw.
