Q: The listing says soy free but the label says contains soy. Does it or does it not actually contain soy?

  • A: We have used Lecithin (Soy) in our Protein Powders, as it is a traditional way to separate curds from whey. Lecithin derived from soy isn't an added component of our product and is only used as a byproduct for that separation process. The lecithin does not contain typical proteins from soy and is far removed at processing. This process is claimed as an ingredient on our labels to be completely transparent and compliant with FDA standards. Some great news! We have been working on perfecting our formula and many of our protein powders no longer contain Lecithin (Soy). You will see ""Soy Free"" on our new bags!

    Great flavor

    This was my first time ordering CSE protien and we loved it. I went through this bag super quick using it in yogurt bowls, oats, breakfast baked goods, smoothies, etc. Love the new clean formulation and have already re-ordered!

    Serving Size went from 33g to 25g

    Went to reorder and now the serving size is 25 grams where it was 33 grams. So same price but you get 25% less product? I guess it’s less calories now.

    I tried it

    Not sure this is the protein powder for me, but the flavor is good. When added to my plain greek yogurt and oatmeal it made it more runny than others. Still looking for a good replacement for my unicity protein powder.

    Delicious!

    This was my first purchase of CSE. I wasn’t sure how it would taste. It was really good! I add a scoop to my sugar free instant pudding mix. I make overnight oats with it. I don’t know what took me so long to make the leap to try your protein powders out but I am so happy that I finally did.

    Miss the old formula

    I have been buying clean simple eats vanilla for 3 years and it’s been my favorite for smoothies and coffee. Just got the new formula and the taste is different in my smoothies and it causes stomach upset for me now. Please offer the old formula again for those who can’t have the new ingredients.

    Best “clean” option for the family.

    We use it daily with smoothies or protein balls and all of my family enjoy it. We’ve tried a lot of different brands and this is the best tasting “clean” ingredient vanilla.

    Simply vanilla

    Super sad. Used to be obsessed with this product, we used it mainly for our ninja creami recipes. The changed recipe makes the ice cream not nearly as creamy or fluffy, it’s now more icy and taste different…

    We feel it is a bit too sweet for our taste. Would you have a lower level of sweetness ie. a fluff or whisper of sweetness level? I have yet to try any flavor but Simply Vanilla. its my go to for baking and adding to muffings pancakes and milk drinks.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVED the ingredients in the original formula. Tasted awesome, blended perfectly and I tolerated. Recently I noticed the taste changed (more of a stevia forward taste) and the consistency isn’t as creamy and I can’t tolerate it. Sure enough realized they’ve reformulated and cut out a few ingredients which is great for a cleaner list but now back to the drawing board for me. Wish they’d go back to the original ingredients!

    New Recipe isn’t close to the same

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I eat CSE every morning in oatmeal. I have for probably 10 years now. I started back when they only had chocolate and vanilla in the giant tubs. I get trying to make it cleaner but it’s not even close to the same. It’s not as sweet, it doesn’t mix as well in oats, and it barely tastes like vanilla anymore. I’m super bummed because this was my first bag of the new formula and it was an immediate noticeable difference. This was my comfort breakfast food and now I’m sad. I’ll take any leftover old formula bags y’all have hanging out, but likely won’t buy the new one again (as much as it breaks my heart).

When I heard about the ingredient change, I was looking forward to the cleaner recipe. However, I got my first bag of the new recipe, and I just don't enjoy the taste nearly as much. Really disappointed and don't know if I'll keep using this or try something else.

    Why did you have to go and change something that was already amazing?? The new formula tastes nothing like the old formula. It was horrible. They took the sweetness away which is what I loved so much about it, it didn't have that protein powder taste. Now it does. I'm so sad. Now I have to find a new protein powder
