Love this Honeywell WiFi smart thermostat!
This thermostat is so easy to use, doesn’t matter where I am, to make changes. I’m out of town quite often, I can put the temperature at whatever setting I want and put it into a permanent hold. When I’m done, I switch it back to schedule. The schedule comes pre programmed, but is very easy to make changes to. It’s hooked up electrically with battery backup, so I don’t have to worry about the batteries dying. All you have to do is download the app, connect it to your WiFi and sit back and relax

Outdated features
Installation was similar to others and it work well, but the software side of things feel really outdated. Things like the set up and app toom way to long to connect and still sometimes just sit on a loading page. Also no option of turning on heat and a/c so during wild temperature seasons if I don't change it multiple times a day my house can get uncomfortable.

I moved into a new house and they had a very limited and small thermostat with no wifi. I rated this a 4 since it was easy to use had a color screen and offered wifi connectivity. However, the screen could have been larger. Also, it does not allow you to set both heat and cooling as active at the same time. Instead, the heating and cooling modes are mutually exclusive. In other words you can't set the thermostat to heat to 65 and cool down to 74 at the same time. You are either in heat mode OR cool mode with the controls.

This is not a bad thermostat but I just didn't get the features that I was expecting. For example, I own a restaurant and the stat sits near tables. I always get people turning the temp down or up based on what they want. I thought this has a locking ability and it does. The only problem is you have to disengage it to do anything and then reengage it to lock again. This is not very efficient. You should be able to just enter the code to do what you need to do, not turn off locking completely then adjust temp.

Finally something that works like it should.
I travel some and it is really nice to get the house cooled down before you get back from a trip. Just open the app and set it where you like. I also like that I can change the temperature from my bed it I get hot or cold. Just open the app and adjust it without getting up and running to the thermostat.

Smart Thermostat is Perfect
I absolutely love our new smart thermostat. It's so easy to control the temp of our home when we aren't there. Switching between heat and air is a simple click of a button on the easy to use app on your smartphone. I'm not sure why we didn't purchase sooner.

Some good, some needs improvement
These work well, but programming them to connect to wi-fi takes a LONG time and is not user friendly. The other big issue regarding preferences is that you cannot change or reduce the brightness of the display font. You can change and dim the background color, but the font is BRIGHT and unchangeable.
