If I could rate this zero stars, I would. I opened the box in the car to bring each piece up the stairs and all of the side pieces were broken off, laying in the wrong direction. As if someone purchased this and returned it. Target needs to review their products better before selling. It’s unusable since that’s what the shelves attach to. Do better, Target. I’ll be returning this.

It's alright
I know what you buy is what you pay for…. Bookcase is solid for what it is. I would say the mdf damages very easily so be very careful while assembling. In my first order, the bookcase arrived damage but target’s customer service was excellent and sent me a new one. Luckily, i noticed before I was half way done and was able to pack it right back up to send it back. The bookcase is pretty heavy, which was a shocker because it’s not real wood. I’m giving it 4 stars because of how quick it was to assemble and targets customer service.

I usually don't write reviews but after reading some of the other reviews I thought it would be good to shed some light on this bookcase. If you follow the directions in the instructions & take your time it was really not difficult to put together. It took me by myself just about 2 hours & i'm just a girl. The hardest part was getting the box up the staircase lol. Also putting the doors on was a bit difficult but if you have someone to help you hold it on while you screw it in, its much easier!

Cute, but meh
I was excited to find this at my local store. However, half way through as I’m adding screws, I notice the gap in the railings. Then the railing came undone. They are attached to the frame using a pre-glued dowel. The dowel snapped. I checked all four and they were all wiggly…. NOOOOO!!! I had to stop, and start on the second one I purchased. That one- fine! So, I’ll returning the broken one, and ordering another one to be delivered in about a week. Hopefully it won’t be damaged and will have all the necessary parts and holes. I cautiously recommend this product.

I am not able to put on the doors for the bottom shelving because the holes were drilled in the wrong location if you follow the instructions as written. So now it is just an open shelf. I really wanted the doors.
