Q: Can my 7 month baby take this?

  • A: Yes, my 3 month old does

submitted byKendamil mom - 2 years ago
  • A: Appropriate for 0-3 years, so yes.

submitted byDelamom - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes, Kendamil Probiotic Drops are suitable from birth. Always consult your pediatrician before starting any new supplement.

Q: Does it mean 5 drops once a day, like 5 drops in ONE bottle or does it mean just use it 5 times and add 1 drop per bottle????

submitted by Victoria - 1 year ago
  • A: Whilst the drops can be spaced out if need be we recommend that all 5 are given at once so that our busy parents don’t potentially forget, and we can ensure that the little ones are getting the full, effective dose. Hope this helps!

Q: Will this help with constipation during potty training? We'd like to avoid an artificial method of pulling water from her body since we live in a dry climate.

submitted by Curiouscoloradomama - 1 month ago
  • A: Probiotic drops can help support gut balance, and there is some research showing certain probiotic strains may help improve stool frequency/consistency for some children, but it isn’t guaranteed and it won’t work the same way as an osmotic laxative (which pulls water into the bowel). During potty training, constipation is very often behavioural (holding/withholding) as well as diet- and hydration-related, so the most effective approach is usually fluids, fibre, regular toilet sits, and addressing any withholding — and it’s best to check in with your pediatrician if constipation is persistent, painful, or associated with blood in the stool. Hope this helps!

Q: My baby is a newborn, how many drops does he need? Second question 🙋‍♀️ My baby is a little constipated from the formula, these drops help him poop well?

submitted by Anna - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi Anna, thanks for reaching out, and congratulations on your newborn! For a newborn, the recommended serving is 5 drops once a day, as per the instructions on the pack. You can give the drops directly onto a spoon, onto the nipple/teat, or mix into formula/breast milk. In terms of constipation: while every baby is different, there are clinical studies showing that certain probiotic strains can help support digestive comfort and bowel regularity in infants, which may help with firmer stools/constipation for some babies. They aren’t a laxative, so results can vary, and it can take a little time (often a week or two of daily use) to see a change. If your little one seems very uncomfortable, has hard pellet-like stools, blood in the stool, a swollen tummy, or you’re worried at all (especially with a newborn), it’s best to check in with your midwife/GP/health visitor for tailored advice.

Q: Can this help with diarrhea

submitted by Taz - 4 months ago
  • A: Kendamil Probiotic Baby Drops provide friendly bacteria that can support a healthy gut balance. Some probiotic strains (including Lactobacillus rhamnosus and L. reuteri like those in our drops) have been studied for shortening the course of common diarrhoea in infants. They are not a medicine and won’t treat dehydration or a bacterial illness, but many parents use them alongside their clinician’s advice.

Q: Can I take probiotics as a breastfeeding mom and give my baby these probiotics also?

submitted by LcGaraya - 7 months ago
  • A: Hi LcGaraya, great question! In general, it’s fine for a breastfeeding parent to take a probiotic while also giving their baby our Probiotic Baby Drops. They act locally in the gut and using both isn’t considered a “double dose.” We suggest introducing one change at a time for a few days so you can see how baby responds, using the drops exactly as on the label (dose, storage, and how to give). If your little one was premature, has health conditions, or you have any concerns, it’s always best to check with your pediatrician/health visitor first. Hope this helps!

Q: Is this product supposed to come with a dropper top? Just opened my bottle & there’s nothing to dispense the product with.

submitted by Confused - 8 months ago
  • A: Thank you for reaching out. Each pack of our Kendamil Probiotic Drops should come with a dropper included – it’s sealed inside plastic wrapping within the box. We’re so sorry that this appears to be missing from your pack. As your purchase was made through Target, we kindly ask you to contact their customer service directly for a refund or replacement. Thank you.

Q: Can this be mix in water/milk for three year fussy eater?

submitted by Carmen - 10 months ago
  • A: Yes, Kendamil Probiotic Baby Drops can be mixed into water or milk — this is perfectly fine for a fussy eater, including a three-year-old. Just be sure the liquid isn't too hot, as high temperatures can reduce the effectiveness of the live cultures.

Q: Can these drops be taken, along side gas relief drops?

submitted by Odevost - 10 months ago
  • A: Yes, Kendamil Probiotic Drops can generally be taken alongside gas relief drops. Many parents choose to use both to support their little one’s digestive comfort. We do recommend giving them at separate times of day if possible (e.g. one in the morning, one in the evening), and always following the dosing instructions on each product. As with any supplements, if you have any specific concerns or if your baby is under medical care, it’s a good idea to check with your pediatrician before combining products.

    Game changer

Bought these as read some really great reviews and sometimes our little one struggles to shift her gas. The first 2 days of having these, she slept so well overnight, only waking once to feed! We thought this was likely just a happy coincidence but after accidentally missing a couple of days we realise that these drops do in fact make a huge difference. She’s so much more comfortable, burps more easily… they have just really changed the game for us. We wouldn’t be without them now!

    Did not work for us

Did not work for our baby. Made her more constipated unfortunately
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 1 month ago
I’m sorry to hear the drops didn’t help and that your little one seemed more constipated. Every baby’s gut is different, and while some babies do well with probiotics, others may not respond the same way. If constipation is persistent, painful, or your baby seems uncomfortable, it’s best to check in with your GP/paediatrician for tailored advice.

    Goood

Honestly for my baby it works ! the min i give it to him hes able to release gas ! 10-10 & the it has no taste to it. Ps: i realized when putting it in the bottle it doesn’t do anything compared to when i directly put it in his mouth it works better.
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 2 months ago
Hi Em, Thank you so much for sharing this – we’re really glad to hear Pro-Comfort has helped your little one release gas so quickly, and that it’s been easy to give because it’s tasteless. And yes, what you noticed can happen. If the drops are added into a full bottle, baby may not take the full dose straight away, so the amount they actually get can be a bit less consistent. Giving the drops directly into baby’s mouth (or onto a spoon) helps ensure they receive the full dose at once, which is why it may feel more effective.

Did not agree with my baby

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to of had an opposite effect for my 8 month old. I started these drops as a little extra support along side her milk and put her on them for a little over 1 week. During this time she would wake up screaming in discomfort until she passed gas. I eventually stopped the drops and we no longer have this issue.

This was horrible for my daughter. I gave it to her twice and shortly after giving it to her she was screaming in pain from trying to have a bowel movement. Would not recommend.
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 2 months ago
I’m really sorry to hear your daughter had this experience, and I understand why you wouldn’t want to continue after seeing her in pain. While many babies tolerate probiotics well, every baby’s digestive system is different, and when starting a probiotic some babies can experience temporary digestive changes (such as gas, fussiness, or changes in bowel movements). That said, screaming in pain is not something we’d ever want to dismiss. We recommend stopping the drops for now and speaking with your pediatrician to make sure there isn’t another cause and to get personalised advice for your daughter.

    Baby Drops

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been adding these drops to our baby’s milk since she was about 2months old. She is now 6months. She’s never been poorly, and is very alert and advanced for her age I feel. Not saying it’s all down to these drops. But we love them and intend to carry on using them until needed. Love them. Would 100% recommend

We paired this with Kendamil formula as well transitioned from breast milk to formula. It was effective and didn’t seem to bother our daughter. It’s easy to use and we feel it’s helped her become more regular with her bowel movements.

Hi Searoll, I'm sorry to hear you didn't notice any difference. Kendamil Probiotic Drops are a dietary supplement designed to support your baby’s digestive health with three key probiotic strains: Bifidobacterium Lactis, Lactobacillus Reuteri, and Lactobacillus Rhamnosus. They help maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria, boost the immune system, reduce colic symptoms, improve digestion, and support oral health.

    Amazing! 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ever since my 4. 5 month old has been using the Kendamil Pro-comfort Baby drops, she has had a bowel movement every single day without fail. She also releases gas naturally with no trapped gas pain anymore, and burps naturally without any additional support needed, however during the night - helping her burp is necessary as she is still a baby. Yet if she does not release a burp through the night after her nightly feedsz she is not in pain, fussing or fidgeting and is still very settled. I use 5 drops in her morning bottle, which she usually finishes. I would highly recommend this to parents especially those who are already using the Kendamil products (formula)

    GREAT DROPS

When my baby pooped twice in a row a wondered what I did different and it was these drops. I can't believe how well they work. Now I will agree with what someone else said and the product specifically might not work well with your baby. But for mine it worked great and immediately! Pretty much the next diaper .

    Helped baby!

The product itself is great. I think it has helped our baby a lot with gas. The con is the bottle leaks if it isn't upright. I noticed it on the first bottle when it tipped and thought maybe I didn't have the lid on right but the next bottle completely drained in my bag when we were traveling ... and the lid was on tight.

    Leaky bottle

This bottle leaks everywhere. Not sure if it's a bad bottle I got but half of it has leaked out making it extremely expensive for only being able to use half the original contents.
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 6 months ago
I’m really sorry for the mess and the wasted drops; that’s frustrating and not the experience we want. The bottle shouldn’t leak in normal use. Please make sure the cap is screwed on firmly before shaking, and always store and carry the bottle upright. It can also help to wipe the rim and threads dry before re-capping and check the dropper insert is fully seated.

I don't know if this is the suspect, but my baby has gotten very constipated, and having trouble going poo since using these drops.
1 reply from Kendamil USA team - 6 months ago
Hi Amanda, I’m sorry your little one is struggling; that’s really hard to see. Our Probiotic Drops are formulated to support digestive balance for babies. While probiotics are generally well tolerated, a small number of babies can have temporary changes in stool pattern when starting them (sometimes firmer stools or extra wind). Here’s a safe way to proceed: pause the drops for 3–5 days and see if things settle. If you’d like to try again, reintroduce at half the label dose every other day for a few days before returning to the full daily dose, and always give the drops with or right after a feed. Don’t mix into very hot liquids; store the bottle in the fridge; and follow the on-pack dose exactly. If constipation continues, your baby seems in pain, or you’re worried at any point, please stop and speak with your pediatrician for tailored advice. Hope this helps!
