Vornado Airbar 6 44" Tower Fan and Horizontal Air Circulator with Remote Control: Adjustable Tilt, Quiet, 3 Speeds, Electric

We're using the Airbar 6 in the horizontal orientation to move cool air from the second level to the third in the great room of a three-and-a-half story townhouse. It's quiet enough to leave running even while we're sitting near it listening to music or watching TV, and effective enough to keep the third floor (where the bedrooms are) within two degrees Fahrenheit of the temperature on the second (where the thermostat is). And yes, the form factor is adaptable, attractive and unobtrusive. Kudos to its designers.

I bought this fan a week ago and it was great! Then, all of a sudden, it started clicking like an old-school clock about once a second. This clicking can be heard across the room, amd persists for a few seconds even after the motor is off. Promising product, but faulty.

I’ve used Vornado fans for decades and know them to be both reliable and quite for there output. When it became ti e to add a new fan to a bedroom I chose Airbar 6. After three nights my wife banded it from the room because of a loud and annoying fan sound. I liked the idea that the fan could be used either vertically or horizontally, the base just magnetically snapped into place. The design is quite ingenious. However, with a sub quality fan, the product is disappointing.

I bought this fan having high expectations based on the design, made in USA claim, and because I had heard of the Vornado brand. The fan puts out a lot of air despite having only 3 speed settings. But the motor is a cheap AC motor instead of the newer brushless DC motors found in other tower fans. The buzzing and rattle at lower speeds is unbearable and makes it difficult to use at night when trying to sleep. The design is great… but the execution leaves much to be desired.

Great fan- love the multiple speeds, how quiet it is even on high speeds, and how it cools really well. I haven't tried it horizontally, but it is very easy to switch between vertical and horizontal. Sturdy and sleek.

I bought this item more or less on impulse at a retail store. It's an excellent product in terms of design and manufacture. The magnetic feet are especially brilliant. But I am not convinced that it really has a place in my home. I recommend any prospective purchaser carefully inspect its specifications and assess if they have a place to put it that will make sense and provide a return on the investment. This product has a specific footprint and a specific use case, and if you don't have a suitable place for it you might not enjoy it.

my window opens sideways. i got this to keep the window mostly closed and still get fresh air while i sleep. took a while to mount, and it's a bit noisy, but now i'm mostly happy. i have it bungeed to hooks on the window frame, sitting without the magic feet.

Also, does not oscillate. It is quieter than round fan.

So I was so excited when Influester and Vornado gave me the opportunity to try their air circulator and fan airbar 6. I haven't gone a day or night without since I got it. It helps keep me cool in this South Carolina heat. I have horrible sinus problems and since I got the air circulator I haven't woke up one single morning not being able to breathe out of my nose. I absolutely lovey my air circulator tower fan !!

It could easily sit on top of something like an entertainment system. Giving some really nice air. The amount of air coming out of the fan has a nice range as far as distance. I would definitely recommend this fan. I love that the removable pieces on the end of the fan are magnetic. So when you wanted to turn your fan from horizontal to vertical the pieces come off and on very easily, yet seem quite stable.

I love this product because it has two ways that you can set it up (horizontal or vertical). It is VERY cooling and has a few different settings for air flow.

For the first week the fan was great. I use in an office so quiet operation is very important. After the first week the fan developed a rattle that has steadly gotten worse. It's like a bearing is failing. I'm probably going to have to send it back and get something else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] all in all, this fan was pretty nice! i think the best feature was definitely the interchangeability; being able to lay it down horizontally, and standing up vertically - but the power of the fan was great too! the lowest setting was just enough, where you could get a nice breeze without getting cold, (which i cannot achieve with my ceiling fan), and the highest setting is amazing for cooling down on a hot day. I absolutely LOVE that i can barely hear it, even on the highest setting - noisy fans really bug me, even though some listen to white noise to calm down. 🤷🏻‍♀️ obviously, it’s not as powerful and aesthetically pleasing as the more expensive fans, but for the price, you’re getting a good bang for your buck. mind you, this thing is huge! that railing in the first and third photo is almost 5 ft wide and it almost took up the entire space. needless to say, i was shocked when the box arrived. 🤣 if you’re just looking for a decent, generic fan to help you cool off, definitely check this one out! this would be especially exceptional for the sports watchers as this can lay right down on your tv stand.

The Airbar 6 doesn’t “circulate” air adequately. I am trying to cool down 2 rooms at 300sq ft total (ceiling height is 9 ft) and to my disappointment, it fails. Couple that with a major delay in delivery because of the carrier, I would conclude I couldn’t recommend Vornado as a supplier or the Air Circulators.

Living in Las Vegas, this product definitely comes in handy. And received just in time! It takes up very little space, gives a decent cool breeze, comes with a remote, quiet motor, and is a versatile vertical/horizontal fan. The only changes is make to it would be to enable a digital reader to know which settings are which, and to enable mobility or oscillating at least partially rather than just pointing in one stagnant direction.

I can give up a lot of things to have a flat fan that points slightly down. The noise that came out of this thing after a week of use, no. Tried to crack it open to see what was rattling, couldn’t do it. And because I tried to open it to fix their mistake I bet any money there is no returning it. Waste of money! Don’t buy!
