So glad I purchased this cleans my carpet hands down better than any iv seen!

This is my first carpet shampoo machine. It picks up the daily dirt, but thought it would do a better job on stains like cat vomit. I’ve only gone through once, so maybe it will be worth the price the second time.

Let me first say, WOW!!! I have used many different carpet washers in my day and this is by far the best! I live in a 1bd apartment with 2 messy cats and I am constantly cleaning my carpets. I never realized how much time I spend messing with a cord until I tried cordless. It's now not just a nice to have, but a need to have for me. The suction power is great and I had no issues with battery life. I primarily used regular mode and just switched to boost on some stains. This cleaner got 3 month old wine stains (don't judge me) out of my carpet. Also it's so quiet!! My cats HATE when I was the carpet but they were so unbothered. The best part about this carpet washer is how easy it was to clean up after I finished my carpets. Normally it takes just as long to clean my machine as it does my floors, but everything was so easy. My only complaint would be that it's hard to empty all the water out of the clean water tank because of where the water hole is. I 1000% recommend this to anyone who washes their carpets on a regular basis- you will not regret it!!

The only thing that I don't like is that it is hard to move the cleaner back and forth. But overall it only took 40 minutes max to clean my carpet. I love how the cleaner both cleans and drys the carpet for you, this is my favorite thing that I have ever received!!

My first impression was that the machine was light weight but not cheap feeling. The 2 tank system is great. I didn't like the machines that had "bladder" type reservoirs within the same tank. The making came with 2 interchangeable brushes and a sample of cleaner. The first time I used the machine I was a little confused how to put the clean mode on. You can change the digital setting to dry or spot Clean. It says dry until you actually push the machine forward then it will say clean. I didn't know that at first and got a little flustered at first. Once I figured it out it worked really well. I had 2 older stains that I worked on and they came out of the carpet quite easily. I especially liked the dry feature since the kids like to play on the floor and I didn't have to wait forever for the carpet to dry. With my old machine I would clean the carpet at night so it would be dry in the morning. I also used the machine on the kitchen floor and it actually cleaned really well. A gallon of juice got spilled and the Hoover was a perfect solution. It cleaned all the juice up, washed the stickiness off and dried the floor. If you hate winding cords up and need a powerful carpet/ floor cleaner this is your best option.

I was surprised at how little assembly it required, I was able to put it together and have it running in a snap! The instructions say to fully charge the battery before use, luckily it was already charged. I used this machine on both carpet, and some rugs. Something I discovered by accident was that it's great at both simultaneously washing/drying/cleaning a rug or carpeted area, and picking up/gathering debris (I had vacuumed beforehand, or so i thought, but the band had snapped & it didn't actually pick up what I thought it did). As I went back and forth, it was noticeably cleaning & brightening a rather dirty bathroom rug, and gathering bits of hair, dirt, debris, that I could easily remove & toss before going back over it. It didn't cause any clogging or issues, it would be left behind in a pile as I pulled the machine back. I appreciate the settings, I used all of them, the dry option really gets up so much moisture, the carpet was nearly dry the next day. This machine left my rugs and carpets so much cleaner and brighter. I was not expecting some spots to come as clean as they did (they had been hard to get clean by hand, but this Hoover Smartwash really got in there and lifted the grime). It works amazingly on carpet 10/10. When I used it on a rug, there is a built in function to protect your carpet if it somehow gets caught, so if I went over the edge of the rug too far & it got caught, it automatically shut off, which is a fantastic safeguard. This machine does specify it's for cleaning carpets, so I'm actually not sure if I should be using it on rugs as well, but it has cleaned both amazingly well and I couldn't be happier with the results. I absolutely recommend it and will be getting a lot of use out of it.

We have an 8 month old and two dogs and just got new carpet so a good carpet cleaner is a must have in our home. This cleaned up mud the dogs tracked in and baby spit up quickly and effectively and is simple to operate. Love love love the cordless feature

Its light weight and easy storage is a big plus for me along with it being cordless. The cleaner is easy to use-gently push forward to clean and then slowly pull back to dry. However, you do have to be very careful at how quickly you push forward because it will shut off which at first made me think something was wrong. However, once you get the hang of how fast you can push and pull, it is easy to use. The tanks for clean and dirty water are both easily accessible to both fill and dump which is another easy to use feature I love! I used this cleaner on an area rug and it really brightened it up and made the rug look fresh. Overall it is a great cleaner by Hoover that is lightweight and easy to use.
