Description
Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat offers 3 modes of use to grow with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb)**. It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat. This car seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to help protect in frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes.

A: No. This car seat installs in the car directly on the seat. Infant seats typically clip in and out of strollers and seat bases such as the Graco Snugride.

A: This model does not have the snuglock. You have to pull the seatbelt out to lock it and retract the slack to tighten.

Q: does any padding in the seat need to be removed based on weight? For example with infant seats the neck lining has to be removed once they hit a certain weight is that the same with this seat seeing it can hold babies 4-40+ lbs rear facing? Thank you!

The mechanism to tighten the harness is very smooth, the best of any car seat we've tried so far (across 4 or 5 models or brands). Grandma uses this one in her car because the others were too hard on her to tighten up or lossen. It is very large, larger than our other Graco extend to fit seat. When rear facing, I cannot have it fully extended behind the driver's seat for driver that is 5'7" in a Subaru Outback or BMW X5 (both long SUVs with lots of rear seat leg room). Therefore it goes behind the passanger in grandma's X3 or RAV4 (both smaller SUVs) seat until our kiddo is facing forward. Our other extend to fit is slightly smaller and fits with extension behind the drivers side on the X5 and Outback.

I’d read a lot of reviews and lists that ranked this car seat highly so I took a chance and ordered this online, instead. I couldn’t be happier that our situation worked out the way it did. This car seat is lightweight, easy to transfer between cars and takes less than a minute to install. It’s well made and has many features that will grow well with my daughter over the years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this car seat - we’ve tried Nunas and Chiccos and this one is by far the most comfortable and cup hold accessible for my 4 year old. Easy to clean and put back together. My only issue is that even with my captain’s chair’s reclining it’s hard to get the seat to recline comfortable for my daughter while keeping the bubble within the safety lines. Overall the best car seat we’ve had.
