A: Thank you for your inquiry. When the Sandwich Maker is plugged in and begins preheating, the red indicator light will illuminate. Once the unit reaches the proper cooking temperature, the green light will turn on to indicate it is ready to cook. The green light will illuminate again when the food is ready. Please note that the heating element continues to operate throughout the cooking process to maintain temperature—it does not shut off when the green light comes on.

It is an OK toaster
The cuisinart sandwich maker has its flaws. It does not cut the sandwich while toasting and does not seal the edges like other sandwich makers in the market

Dont buy that sandwitch grill
Save your time and money don't buy. I received used, dirty and stinky item. Absolutely disgusting! Will never buy from Target online. I would take 2 stars if possible.

Little Helper
The Cuisinart sandwich maker exceeded my expectations. It toasts the bread evenly and melts the cheese quite quickly. It saves me time when preparing breakfast for my family during the morning rush. I wish the plates were slightly larger because the bread slices I use don’t fit perfectly and spill over the edges. Also, the fact that the plates are not removable is disappointing, as it makes cleaning a bit more difficult.

Sandwich Enhancer
Made a Tasty Grilled Cheese / Genoa Salami Sandwich it was great. It took a short amount of time and I had two sandwiches made at the same time can't argue with that, It came out golden crisp. Put the bread in with the Cheese and Genoa salami and the grill did the rest with no problems, zip zap cleanup was a snap I like this Cuisinart Sandwich Grill it's an Enhancer.
