It is pretty light-weight. It heats up the water quickly. The lid is plastic FYI. I can smell a slight plastic smell after heating up water. I wish the lid and the whole inner pitcher was steel. I will be purchasing something else once this breaks.

This is practical, safe as long as you keep it out of reaching distance for kids and easy to use. I got the glass one but it broke so if you want a kettle thats durable and doesn’t take up too much room, get this bad boy.
