Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat offers 3 modes of use to grow with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb)**. It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat. This car seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to help protect in frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes.

Q: Above says the rear facing max height is 49 inches - same as the forward facing max height. Usually they are not the same - kids usually have to be switched due to height. Is 49 in accurate??

A: Thanks for your interest in our Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat! This model does have a height limit for rear and forward facing of 49inches. But it's more about the weight limit for when the child would transition from rear to forward to high-back booster mode. Rear facing weight limit is 4-50 lb. 4-26.5lb must be rear-facing and 26.5-50lb should be rear-facing. For forward-facing the weight limit is 26.5-65lb. 26.5-50lb can be forward-facing and 50-65lb should be forward-facing. For the booster mode a child would need to be 43-57 inches tall at least for years old. 40-65lb can be in booster mode and over 65lb the child must be in the booster mode. This seat outperforms the more expensive brands on safety tests. It also looks stylish. It is easy to adjust. Overall, it seems more down to earth and practicable, whereas other seats are more expensive for little benefit.

The mechanism to tighten the harness is very smooth, the best of any car seat we've tried so far (across 4 or 5 models or brands). Grandma uses this one in her car because the others were too hard on her to tighten up or lossen. It is very large, larger than our other Graco extend to fit seat. When rear facing, I cannot have it fully extended behind the driver's seat for driver that is 5'7" in a Subaru Outback or BMW X5 (both long SUVs with lots of rear seat leg room). Therefore it goes behind the passanger in grandma's X3 or RAV4 (both smaller SUVs) seat until our kiddo is facing forward. Our other extend to fit is slightly smaller and fits with extension behind the drivers side on the X5 and Outback.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this purchase. I’d been planning on purchasing the Uppababy Rove or Nuna Rava when some unexpected expenses came up. I’d read a lot of reviews and lists that ranked this car seat highly so I took a chance and ordered this online, instead. I couldn’t be happier that our situation worked out the way it did. This car seat is lightweight, easy to transfer between cars and takes less than a minute to install. It’s well made and has many features that will grow well with my daughter over the years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this car seat - we’ve tried Nunas and Chiccos and this one is by far the most comfortable and cup hold accessible for my 4 year old. Easy to clean and put back together. My only issue is that even with my captain’s chair’s reclining it’s hard to get the seat to recline comfortable for my daughter while keeping the bubble within the safety lines. Overall the best car seat we’ve had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat is a big learning curve and a lot of reading the instructions before it all comes together and clicks. It is so versatile and we cannot wait to see how our daughter grows with this. The multiple reclining positions is so great to tailor it to each car ride and it’s super sturdy despite all the moving parts you can adjust. It’s also very easy to move it from one vehicle to the other if we need to switch things up! We also love the lighter color option, her old black car seat would get so hot and this one has not been like that so super happy.
