Description

Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat offers 3 modes of use to grow with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb)**. It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat.   • A: It is not about the age, it is about the weight and height of the child, and if the shoulder belt sits correctly against their anatomy. If the child is 12 but only 40lbs and 40inches, they still need to be in a booster. Each state is different on exact laws, so please check with your pediatrician and state laws.

Graco for the win!

I did a lot of research on so many car seats because I wanted my baby in a good seat that had done well in the safety testing. This one met those standards and then some. My girl has had a rough start at life and at 19 months old she’s just now 16 pounds, so I truly wanted a safe ride for her. So far she loves her new seat. It’s roomy in the body area and the head area. The design of the seat is very well thought out. I personally love the extended rear facing with extra leg room. The seat seems to be very sturdy. It doesn’t shake around or rattle. It’s extremely easy to install both rear facing and forward facing (just testing it out). The straps on this seat are hassle free as well. I definitely recommend this seat. Also, while this seat isn’t cheap it’s also not the most expensive on the market and offers just as much comfort and safety… if not more.

Good car seat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed to transition our 10 month old to a new car seat. Installation was ok, though my husband recommends watching a YouTube video as the installation guide wasn’t very helpful. Car seat looks good, seems comfy, but it always take a while to strap my son in as the straps take quite a bit of adjusting.

Excellent car seat

I like that it has exetended weight limist and seems comfortable. The pockets on the side for the buckle do not hold the clip buckle in for easy storage as they are fit to do. They are not big enough and the buckle just slides right out.

10/10 Recommend This Seat To Everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about a month ago. I purchased two, one for each of my daughters. I have a 2.5 year old (33 months, 34in, 35lbs) & a 10.5 month old (24in, 19lbs). Both are rearfacing in a 2018 VW Atlas, second row. Install was super easy. Was easily able to get a correct install. My oldest says the seat is a lot more comfortable than her MaxiCosi Pria All-In-One, which is the seat we switched her out of to be able to do extending rearfacing. This is the main feature that sold us on this seat, as she’s a big girl and was so close to maxing out her other seat’s weight limit. My youngest was switched from the SnugRide Lite LX car seat. It was a little bit of an adjustment learning how to sleep in it since it’s a bit different, but she seems to be happy in it. The only complaint I have is that no matter the recline, it does create a lot of head slump. Thankfully both of my children have great head control and we never needed to use the infant insert for this seat, but if you are using it for an infant without great head control, it could potentially be an issue. I love how safe the seat is rated. Overall, we love this seat & absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Our favorite!

Basically disposable

We bought this car seat bc we liked the idea that it would last several years for our daughter, and likely be the last car seat we would have to buy. Little did we know, this car seat can't even hold up to a toddler accidentally wetting their pants in the car seat. We called the manufacturer to order replacement straps, because they can't be cleaned with anything more than a damp cloth with "mild" soap. A damp cloth with mild soap isn't much help for material saturated in urine. Per the manufacturer, the saturation in urine made the seat unsafe to use, and we had to buy another car seat for our child. This was our potty trained child's first accident in 6 months, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a car seat to hold up to bodily fluids from a child without needing replaced.

Safety!

Purchased this car seat in 2016 for my daughter (soon to expire this summer). It has been used by my nephew and son over the past few years in "Nana’s" vehicle. Last week, they were involved in a head-on collision that resulted in a rollover (x2). Fortunately, my nephew sustained no injuries other than a scrape from the harness belt, and the car seat incurred only minor damage. We have consistently chosen Graco car seats and will continue to do so in the future. Thank you.

Still rear facing three years later!

Right off the bat, it’s expensive. But when you think about about many seats you’re going to but within 8/9 years, buying one, one time doesn’t sound that bad. It was a learning curve when it came time to extend the foot rest area after a few months. The cup holders clip in really well and thankfully my 3 year old hasn’t taken them off. It is very very heavy! Not a car seat I’d recommend moving from car to car.
