Description

Delsym 12 Hour Cough medicine for adults helps control cough for up to 12 hours with the powerful active ingredient Dextromethorphan Polistirex extended-release suspension cough suppressant. This cough syrup can be taken during the day or before bed to help control cough caused by the common cold or flu. Delsym 12 hour cough relief adult cough syrup supresses cough when you need it most.

Purpose

Cough Suppressant..

Uses

cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with the common cold or inhaled irritants, the impulse to cough to help you get to sleep.

Warnings

chronic cough that lasts as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema,cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus).

Directions

See panel for full dosing directions. Shake bottle well before use. Measure only with dosing cup provided. Do not use dosing cup with other products. Dose as follows or as directed by a doctor.

Adults and Children 12 Years of Age and Over

10 mL every 12 hours, not to exceed 20 mL in 24 hours.

Children 6 to Under 12 Years of Age

5 mL every 12 hours, not to exceed 10 mL in 24 hours.

Children 4 to Under 6 Years of Age

2.5 mL every 12 hours, not to exceed 5 mL in 24 hours.

Children Under 4 Years of Age

Do not use.

Other information

Each 5 mL contains: sodium 7 mg. Store at 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Dosing cup provided.

Colds suck

Works very well and tastes great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked how fast this cough syrup worked and that it gave me long lasting relief from my cough. I liked that you can use it day or night and that it's a non alcoholic. It's strictly for coughs, so no unneeded pain or fever reducer is in this product, which is a big plus for me. It has a great grape flavor too. I'd definitely recommend this!

Would definitely buy this product again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 13 year old just got over strep throat, he was having a really hard time sleeping at night because of all the Coughing, so i decided to try Delsym this time, he loved the taste, he will only use Grape Flavored liquid, he has a hard time swallowing pills. But it worked wonderful. It was the first good night sleep he had in 3 days.

The Only Choice for Cough Relief!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delsym Adult 12 hr Cough Relief is the ONLY product that gives me actual relief from a cough!! I have used tons of different cough medicines; But they never seem to work for a cough! It really seems to last forever, and I like the fact that you do not have to take as much as other cough medicines. I actually enjoy the orange flavor, too! This cough syrup does not make me drowsy or leave me feeling foggy after taking it. I also use it at night, so I can get a good night's sleep. I am so happy to have found this product! It is the only one I will use from now on!

Best tasting and working cough medicine, even helps my asthm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cough medicine has been the best ive tried so far. It even helps open my airways when allergies are closing them up due to my allergic asthma. It doesnt taste bad at all, rather, it tastes pretty good with a berry finish rather than the usual grape or cherry. It helped my cough and mucus significantly, soothed my throat, and gave me enough relief to be able to peacefully fall asleep and wake up without the cough syrup hangover feeling that pm meds usually give. Defenitely keeping it in my med cabinet this season.

Effective 12 hour cough relief

I take it in the morning to get through my workday without coughing and again before bed to get a good nights rest. It really does work well at keeping my cough under control for the full 12 hours. Really Helps

Sleeping was difficult for me. Even when I woke up, I would feel a little less sick as well. I think that really helped speed up the healing process.

Amazing

I've always purchased Delsym cough for myself and my kids because it lasts 12 hours, but then I'd hAve to take something else for my other cold symptoms. I'm so pleased that I can finally get the power of Delsym cough with cold relief as well. My son had a horrible cold and Delsym cough and cold nighttime knocked out his symptoms and allowed him to have a great nights sleep for work.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to try out to help with my cough. I find that it does really help reduce my cough and I am not coughing as much throughout the day. The taste is not the greatest but it is medicine so it was to be expected. It seems a little on the thicker side so I find it a little harder to swallow but it still goes down fine and the reward outweighs the texture. It is definitely something I will be getting again when I have a cough.

Relief that lasts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently heard from a coworker how effective the Delsym Adult 12 Hr Cough Relief is for her cough issues. After trying it for myself, I would say it is better than the other liquid-formed brands I have tried in that it does not give me that drowsy feeling. Other products that claim to be "non-drowsy" always leaves me feeling loopy in the end and very unproductive during the day. I would definitely include this product in my medicine cabinet from now on.

This has a nice orange flavor. The best part is the 12 hours of cough relief. It really is effective at soothing my cough. Definitely recommend!
