Glad to see Sharp is back in the game
Got this Sharp TV brand new for my new home. I've owned a Sharp TV that I bought back in 2014 and was a fan since that time. The picture quality is good with this TV, but I had to turn off the internet updates and do a reset to factory settings as I found with the updates as of last week that youtube became disabled. The TV was also constantly checking for updates and I experienced a lag as a result when turning on which is why I stopped automatic updates feature. The TV speaker quality seems like a downgrade from the built in speakers from my 2014 Sharp TV, which is I'm guessing a business decision from Sharp that would indicate they felt consumers would automatically choose a soundbar to pair the TV with. While I am very satisfied with the product based on my purchase price, I somehow feel that the frame design and speaker quality of the 2014/2015 sharps were actually better. I had to make sure to disable the microphone and internet viewership stat feedback as I value my privacy. I'm rooting for Sharp to make a major comeback in the US so I hope these criticisms are judged fairly. Still an overall great deal especially at the price point this 4k tv is being offered at.
