A good all round TV.
Had this TV for a couple of weeks now. Easy to set-up. It has a good level of picture options for movies and the sound is good from the TV without setting up my Orbitsound system yet. My only gripe is that according to the TV software the remote provided is not compatible with setting up acoustic auto calibration. I have made sure the latest software is downloaded but this made no difference. This is poor for the price of the TV but won’t affect me as I will be using my Orbitsound system.

Outstanding Picture.
Stunning picture....didn't give it 5 * due to only having 2 x 2.1 HDMI ports. Movies in 4k are next level viewing. Combined with Soundbar 8 & Rs5 surround speakers. Defo cinema quality.

Hugely disappointed...
I purchased the best television I could afford in my price range following many weeks of online research. The only negative comments I saw concerned the brightness of the TV; I should have listened. After a couple of weeks of living with the TV and trying various adjustments, the TV is a huge let down. The picture is little different from the old LED it replaced and brightness is a an issue during the daytime even in our living room which is not overly bright.

Great picture quality
Really great picture quality. I also used a Sony sound bar and sub. These work very well together and you only need one controller to do everything. Tip. Ensure you keep on top of the TV software updates.

Crackin Set.
We bought this TV about two weeks ago so it is still early days. We are very happy with it at the moment, the picture quality and sound is excellent as opposed to our previous TV which was also a Sony product and had given us more than 15years good service. This TV however is a 65 inch as opposed to a 40 inch and picture quality of the new TV is streets ahead of the old set. Very happy so far with this TV. Really impressed with all the bells and whistles on this too and the amount of TV channels we get.

Stunning picture
Bought this sooner than anticipated when i stupidly dropped my Sony A90j when remounting on wall. The A90 was a brilliant set and i am pleased to say the new bravia 8 series two is even better. Thinner than the A90j and extra remote which is handy. Picture quality stunning. If you are using a soundbar make sure you use hdmi 3(arc). Also if you have Sky or another cable provider use the hdmi 4 for the 4k streaming. Bluray 4k player fine for hdmi 2. Enjoy!

Good bones
Out of the box none of the picture settings were to my liking, which is the norm with all the flat screen tv’s I’ve owned. Unfortunately iam finding it difficult to adjust the picture to my liking, however the TV has good bones and iam sure I will get there with patience. Movement is exceptionally with a decent feed and blue ray is the best picture I’ve seen in my home.

Great visuals, average sound - needs soundbar
I've had this TV a week and it replaced an aging plasma TV. The picture and clarity are excellent but, not unsurprisingly from such a thin TV, the sound is very average - a soundbar is a must - bought the Bravia Theatre 9 and am very happy with that too. Set up was easy, menus reasonably clear. Overall very happy (if you accept you have to buy a soundbar)

Great Television
I bought this and installed it about 10 days ago. It has a beautiful, clear, realistic picture. Colours are true to life, brightness is just right and especially good when watching wildlife programmes. The hand gestures control is novel but quite fun to use. It has AirPlay 2 so I am looking forward to trying that out. It connected to a soundbar with ease. Overall it is a delightful TV with technical features galore. No wonder it won lots of awards and is a flagship Sony TV.

Great TV, confusing interface
The picture is great and the TV works well with a sound bar. That said the menu is confusing, it takes a longtime to set up the TV and the menu seems to battle with my TV services supplier. The design of the feet means the TV is stable but limits the furniture it can sit on.

Truly the King of TVs
Installed last week. Genuinely the best television I've ever had. The UI is clean, the response of native apps is perfect. Having 2 remotes is genius. Everything from streaming, to movies, to the PS5 pro looks amazing.

A great tv
I base in Africa and I bought the product from US. Am waiting for the shipment, to be arriving third week of March. My concern is would it be compatible with the power supply voltage here
1 reply from Sony North America Customer Support team - 26 days ago
Hello Fadi2233, Thank you for choosing Sony! We appreciate your inquiry about the compatibility of the K65XR80M2 TV purchased in the US with the power supply voltage in Africa and are happy to assist you. The US version of the K65XR80M2 TV is designed for the North American power grid and supports both 120V and 240V. We recommend checking the product label on your TV to determine the required voltage for proper operation. If the voltage used in your country matches the voltage specified on the Sony product label, the TV should operate safely. In this case, you may only need a plug adapter to ensure the power cord fits properly into your local wall outlet, as outlet types can vary by region. However, if the voltage differs, the TV should not be plugged into the outlet to avoid damage.
