Throw this garbage away
This used to be a great product and then they changed the recipe. As far as I can tell it went from being more rice flour to more corn flour. It is now a sticky starchy mess. Im sure the recipe change was cheaper. CHANGE THE RECIPE BACK!!!!!!!!!

New recipe is awful
This used to be my go-to spaghetti. I thought it was just a one time issue. Mushy, gooey noodles, even at nine minutes into the cooking time. Dinner was ruined. I bought another box and the same thing happened. Second dinner ruined! Bring back the old recipe!!

Please bring back the old recipe. New one is awful.
This used to be a staple in our house. The new recipe is horrendous. It reminds me of the old gluten free pasta that they made in the 1990s - super slimy, starchy, sticky. I loved the pasta before the updated recipe. Please bring back the old recipe.

From Best to Worst in One Terrible Decision
The new recipe is awful. I've never seen a product go from so beloved to unbuyable. I wish I could give it zero stars after the recipe change. I got lucky and found a couple boxes of the older recipe at a store close to me. In my main store, it could be tough to find them in stock consistently. Since the recipe change, it's been fully stocked each trip.

New recipe was a terrible move
As a long time lover and regular user of barilla gluten free spaghetti, I know this recipe and consistency better than the back of my hand.. and as the new 2 ingredient recipe has officially made its way to my local grocery store and onto my dinner plate, I instantly knew something was wrong. The noodles are so much smaller/thinner, requiring more noodles than normal to adequately fill my plate. Not looking forward to having to purchase more boxes to consistently satisfy the appetites of my family. Although I didn't notice much of a change in taste, the noodle consistency was dangerously close to mushy, and as explained before, we know the exact time necessary to not overcook, so that was definitely not user error. The cooking process was also a struggle as the noodles were sticking together and hard to cook evenly. I have celiac's disease and rely on this brand of pasta heavily as it historically is the best tasting and adequate replacement since my diagnosis, but unfortunately with this recipe change I may have to explore other brands again.

Recipe change disaster
Barilla gluten free pasta used to be the gold standard. It was cheap, cooked well, and was almost identical to regular pasta. Since the recipe change, it's gummier and more like glass noodles than the texture of real pasta. I have no idea what compelled them to change the recipe when the old one was so good, but I will be switching to another brand like Rummo. Whichever suit decided they should change the recipe to save .10 cents per box should be fired. Insane choice to ruin the best gluten free pasta brand.

Its still a great option
I was scared after reading the reviews about the changed formula but I’m happy to report it’s still good: it’s true that it can get clumpy and of course it doesn’t taste as good as the gluten regular version but once you sauce it up it’s perfectly acceptable. If your kid just likes it with butter and cheese you may not be able to fool them but I made garlic noodles with them and also meat spaghetti and no one complained. Will definitely buy again.

Worst recipe change in history.
The old recipe was perfection. Sure it broke up a little more than normal pasta but the taste was almost identical. Grabbed a new pack this last weekend and now its wet and gross. Its like slimy now. Absolutely mind blown they would change the recipe.

New recipe is a huge step down
Used to be my favorite gluten free pasta, but the recent change has been a substantial downgrade in taste and texture. Won't be buying anymore unless the recipe is changed back.

New Recipe Sucks
Sooo disappointed in the new recipe. This had been my favorite gluten free pasta for years but now it just turns to mush. Will no longer be buying.

WHY DID YOU CHANGE IT?
I eat this pasta quite a bit because it is one of the most widely available GF pasta. Just ran out and restocked a few boxes and realized something wasn't right. It's mushy and nasty now. Will no longer be purchasing.

The old recipe was WAY better!!!
It used to cook perfectly and sauce would sit on it very well. Now it is sticky, too soft (regardless of cook time), and feels like a bad brown rice pasta.

Terrible change of recipe, will no longer buy this product
My kids were diagnosed with celiac a few years back and we went through so many pastas to find one that actually tasted like "normal" pasta for them. Barilla was the best and not sticky/gooey and powdery like all the rest. Now they ruined it completely and it's just the same as the others and my kids will not eat it anymore. Absolutely horrible and I do not know why they would change it. I assume cheaper for them, but I bet they lose a lot of customers now.

I agree with other recent reviews…new recipe is worse.
I have been eating Barilla gluten free pasta every single day for years (I have IBS and this is one of the few foods that doesn't bother me). When I first had a box of the new recipe pasta I thought I got a bad batch, because it stuck excessively to the pot and became one gluey mass after a few minutes in the bowl while I got the rest of my meal ready. It actually tasted good, but the consistency was definitely not. After I figured out this was the new recipe I became extremely disappointed, because now I either have to put up with a daily struggle with my pasta and the mess it makes, or try and find something else.

What a shock in recipe change
I buy in bulk but when i went to buy yesterday and make pasta last night I was wondering what I did wrong when cooking because it ended up being mush. It was disgusting. So I did research and found out that they changed the recipe of the pasta. WHY? Did you even do a taste testing with people before doing this? Surely no one in this world would pick the new recipe. Please change it back.

Recipe change!!! It used to be AMAZING now MUSH
The old recipe was my absolute go to pasta. I loved it and ate it pretty frequently. I just bought some a week ago and got around to eating it to notice it was just so thin, mushy, yet hard? It feels overcooked and undercooked. Just found out the recipe changed and I am completely stunned when it was pretty perfect as it was. I'm really hoping they change it back after seeing how many people are leaving negative reviews. This is really disappointing. Having good gluten free options is so important and helpful for people to make sure they stick to a gluten free diet. Really disappointing.

New recipe is terrible!! As a celiac, this use to be my favorite gluten free product, and now it's ruined 😞 I'm very sad about it.

Why did you fix what wasn't broken?
Barilla Gluten free spaghetti used to be my go-to brand because it actually held up well and tasted good. Now it's a gooey sticky mess. Cooking it Al dente doesn't help much. The texture is just off. Please go back to what you had. There was nothing wrong with it. In the meantime I will use other brands as this is just nasty now.

New Recipe Has Ruined a Great Product
The new recipe is terrible and I'll have to switch now. Why ruin a great thing? As a celiac, it was the best product I used. I'm so sad.
