I thought I’d get lucky. Because at this price point, why wouldn’t you give it a shot? Well, it turned out to be a complete waste of time! My unit didn’t power on at all. There’s no indicator light, so you couldn’t tell if it was on, but it produced no heat. I had it on high for an hour and the base plate was still cool to the touch. On top of that, when I turned it down to low, the knob fell off!!! I’m so disappointed in this product. But I should’ve heeded caution to the plethora of negative reviews on this already. Don’t be like me - pass this one up.

It's been two hours and the food inside is not even warm ( soup ) but the outside burned the crap out of me. I've never had a slow cooler get this hot. My fingers are blistered. I don't trust this thing when I am not home. I recycled the box so I don't think I can return it. I am cutting the cord off of it and throwing it away so no one else gets hurt.

I thought maybe I wasn't using it right, and so I missed the return window. My old crockpot was wonderful, could cook a pot of beans by soaking overnight and cooking all day. This one literally takes 2-3 days to cook a pot of beans. Low powered waste of time.

What you’ve described isn't typical. While cook times can vary slightly based on ingredient type, water level, and altitude, needing 2–3 days to cook beans is definitely not normal. We’d like to help troubleshoot a few possibilities: 1. Tips to try next time: 2. Make sure the ceramic insert is fully seated in the base. 3. Always cook with the lid on tightly and avoid lifting it during cooking (this releases valuable heat). Try starting beans on the High setting for the first 1–2 hours to help them reach a safe cooking temperature, then reduce to Low if needed. For dried beans, even after soaking, older beans or hard water can lengthen cook times significantly. That said, this shouldn’t happen every time, and it may be worth checking whether the heating element is functioning correctly. If you'd like to share a photo of the base plate or where/when you purchased the unit, we’d be happy to investigate further. It was a nice crock pot, tried a li g stand I g recipe, it took longer than it should have cooking as half the ingredients were already cooked. It didn’t seem like it was very hot even on high setting. Will keep it anyway for keeping things warm at gatherings.

Have had a few crockpot? Usually larger ones , this is smaller . 3 time I tried using it the internal temp after4 on high , was 145f . Should have been 205, in the passed I washed it up, put it away and say I will try again another time. Then it happened again. So buyer be ware

Crockpot brand never disappoints. We use our 4.5 quart for dips and small appetizers. Super durable, we take it to multiple get together every year and have never had an issue. Super easy to clean and the temp control works perfectly. We actually have Two of these!
