submitted byStrong and absorbent - 1 year agoA: Because it’s recycled paper I would think there is BPA and PFAS in here from receipts - a lot of people don’t know not to recycle them. I’d buy from Caboo or Reel. From their site “Bravo paper towels contain cellulose fibers made from recycled paper pulp. The recycled pulp is made of used paper which has been processed to be re-used, and much of these days is tan paperboard from shipping packaging. Most of the paper towels on the market are made using standard, virgin pulp which does not contain any recycled content and is made directly of the pulp of trees.”

It’s still important to me to support the recycled paper industry, and there are many cleaning surfaces I’m not really worried about bpa on.

Q: What does “up to” mean in reality? Is there a minimum you promise for recycled content? Or it could be very low?

A: Great question! When we say “up to,” it means the amount of recycled material can vary slightly from batch to batch due to normal differences in the paper manufacturing process. We use “up to” to account for that variation, but recycled fiber is always included in our products, and we work to use as much as possible while maintaining the high quality you expect.

A big YEA on these paper towels
I purchased these paper towels because they are made almost entirely of recycled material and are unbleached. These paper towels are much denser and stronger than regular ones - so much so, you use less and can even reuse like a cloth. I am no longer going through paper towels like I did with the usual ones you see at stores.

If a Swedish dish cloth had a baby
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is basically a Swedish dish cloth but in paper towel form. You can kind of feel it in your hands. It is definitely absorbent. It has the absorbency of a bounty paper towel but a multi use of a Swedish dish cloth if that makes sense. I still like to have regular paper towels but this is what I like to keep with my cleaning supplies for when you need to give the place a deep clean. I couldn’t see myself entirely replacing my paper towels with these because it would seem kind of wasteful. One time I was entirely out of paper towels so I put in a roll of these for the time being. It just made me feel bad because I have a tendency to throw away a paper towel after one use but I know with these you can easily rinse and get a couple more uses. All in all, I like these and definitely feel sturdier for when I’m doing a deep clean around the house.

Elementary School Quality
Remember the economy-industrial scratchy paper towel from your elementary school washrooms, you know right after they laid off the art and music teachers but right before they started turning off half the lights in the hallways? Now imagine the junior principal accidentally left the paper towels on their trunk lid after a shopping run to the bulk school-goods store, and it rained. So then the AP laid the towels out to dry, but not quite for long enough, because assistant principals are overworked and their offices are too small to have paper towels laid flat for very long. That's what it feels like to touch and use these paper towels. Plus SO much lint. And they push spills around on your counter rather than soaking them up. I guess what I'm saying is don't lay off your music and art teachers.

Better Than Expected!
I was looking for non chlorine bleached bath tissue and stumbled across these towels. These are like a ''brown Viva'', but are easier to pull or unroll from the paper towel holder. Much easier to pull what you need without any excess. The way the're designed, I think they'll be lasting rolls and will be my go to towels including camping trips. They're strong, soft, easy to tear, cloth like absorbency, great!

Beware - Target promotiona gift card games
Target is playing games again. They had a promotion on to buy $50 of household goods, get a $15 gift card. I needed bulk paper towels, so this was easy. I ordered a large pack of bounty towels (27.69, in store pickup) and two large packs of bravo recycled paper towels (16.99 each, shipping only). Everything was in one purchase and exceeded $50, in-store pickup would have been preferred, but the bravo paper towels were only available for shipping (Target’s choice, not mine). They cancelled my gift card, and the in-store representative said that the gift cards can only be provided if all items for a promotion are received in the same way (either in-store, or shipped, but not mixed). I would even understand that logic, if it wasn’t target deciding how you receive your items. Crappy game Target! Convenient how they don’t give you a reason unless you ask in person, and you don’t lose the promotional gift card until after you’ve paid. Good fundraising strategy, shady customer strategy.

10/10 Shockingly good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these all up and was genuinely impressed. First off, the absorbency was great as they handled everything I needed them for without falling apart. I rinsed and reused each one multiple times, which made me feel better about the sustainability aspect too. They’re definitely on the pricier side, but the fact that I got multiple uses out of each one made it totally worth the money. At one point, I even accidentally ran one through the washing machine in my husband’s pocket and it came out completely intact and ready for another round. That’s some serious durability. The packaging was super easy to open, and I appreciated that they weren’t individually wrapped like other brands. Just simple, no-nonsense, and better for the environment. Highly recommend because these are a must for sure!
