Q: Will this pitcher work with my Kirkland filter cartridges? Have a box left, pitcher isn't working, both are discontinued. Box states "Fits in most pitchers from Brita." Want to use what I have left.

submitted byS - 10 months agoA: Thank you for contacting us at Brita, and we’re happy to answer your question about using non-Brita Filters with our Denali Pitcher. We can't guarantee that they'd fit properly because the reservoirs in our pitchers are designed specifically for Brita filters and haven't been tested with competitive products. We hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call at 800-242-7482 with reference number 230602-000219. Thanks again. Alexandrea from The Brita Team

Q: We have very hard water and I find that the accumulation of white matter on the edges of our Brita pitchers hardens and is difficult to clean; scraping is necessary. What do you suggest?
A: Hi, Arjay. We're sorry to hear about your difficulty cleaning your Denail Pitcher, and we're happy to share a couple of tips. First, make sure to remove the filter from the reservoir. Then, hand-wash the pitcher, lid, and reservoir using a mild detergent, and rinse them thoroughly. Please avoid putting your pitcher in the dishwasher or using abrasive cleaners, as Brita pitchers are not dishwasher safe. We hope this helps. Shannon from The Brita Team

Q: When or how often to change filter?
A: Hi Marge, great question! If you're using our Standard (white) filter, it’s designed to be replaced approximately every 40 gallons, or 2 months; whichever comes first. If you have the Elite (blue) filter, it lasts longer; up to six months before needing a change. Our Denali Pitcher’s electronic indicator will also help you track the filter life and let you know when it’s time to replace it, so you can use that as a helpful guide too. If you have more questions, reach out to us again at 800-242-7482. Have a wonderful day! Jeffery from The Brita Team

Q: Does this Brita filter out micro plastics?
A: Hello there, and thanks so much for asking. No, our Standard filter in our Denali Pitcher doesn't claim to remove/reduce microplastics. However, our Elite pour-through, Elite faucet mount and Hub systems are certified to reduce microplastics (defined by NSF/ANSI 401 as particles from 0.5 to 1 micron) as well as PFOA and PFOS. We hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, contact us at 800-242-7482. Have a hydrated day! Jeffery from The Brita Team
