A: Thank you for contacting IMUSA, once the coffee has brewed to the frother sign on the coffee carafe you must turn the dial to the frother sign and submerge your milk in order to foam it.

A: I make "regular" coffee with mine all the time. It's normally called "Americano" style... 50% espresso, 50% hot water. Of course, unlike a traditional coffee maker, that means you're making one cup at a time.

A: No, it doesn't come with a tamper. But for what it's worth, most of the time, I don't tamp. Reaaly depends on the type of beans you use, as tamping does let you adjust flow rate. It's a bit of a controversy amongst espresso fans. Some swear by it, others claim it's unnecessary.

Our espresso machine that we've been using for the past 6 years broke couple of months before we received this item so it was a perfect timing. We've been using the regular drip coffee machine that I had stowed away until we found another that's worth spending big bucks on. Compared to the other two full sized espresso machines used in the past, my European husband who's big on coffee in general, doesn't see much difference. Most of the time, it's the coffee itself he says. Lavazza espresso beans is one of our favorite. We like that it's small and compact to put it on countertop in our smaller space but it's very practical and does what the other full sized espresso machines do without sacrificing much quality. Both espresso and the cappuccino with milk frother works and tastes great. It's easy to use, convenient, and I just love that I can clean it up in no time. We give it a 4 star only because we're probably so use to the bigger full sized ones that has faster heat and steam with stronger pressure stability. I would recommend it to anyone that has a small place. Having said that, we're not really looking for another full sized espresso machine for now :)

Perfect for a small household because it only prepares up to 4 cups per time . I like that it's small and fits perfectly in my small kitchen . I have only use it everyday for a week , but until now it works perfectly even with a bad quality coffee beans Also is really fast , in less than 2 minutes you have fresh coffee

I was a little intimidated when I received the product because I had never made espresso or cappuccino before. I brewed my first and it was so delicious. My daughter has a large expensive espresso maker and she couldn't tell any difference. She was a little jealous because the IMUSA is a perfect size for a single woman and can easily be stored in a cabinet when not in use! I loved that I could use it, put it away and it made delicious tasting espresso. I am not sure if my daughter was more impressed at the machine or the fact that her mom was able to figure everything out. We celebrated the machine by making espresso martinis and watching a good "chick flick" together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good little machine! The knob on the left hand side has three functions, steamer, OFF, Brew. Be sure that once the red light is off and your brewing cycle is complete that you turn the knob to off. It is easy to use, straightforward, and personally I don't use the steamer too much, but works just fine. I would use filtered water for your Brew, and personally I like to add a little pinch of salt to my grounds before I brew. For the price point, I believe that this is a decent little espresso machine. It makes a strong Brewer, and is pretty quick. Easy to clean. The only con so far, is that it takes some time to cool down before you can do another espresso Brew. So far that hasn't been a problem as it's just me and my partner. Do take caution again with that control knob. In the package comes the machine, double shot carafe, coffee brew, grounds holder, lid, and great for potential leaks. Leaks. Also a perfect size coffee scoop.

I downgraded from 5 stars only because it was missing the measuring spoon pictured in the instructions. Very simple to use with clear instructions. It has an easy to use dial that rotates from OFF to either making espresso or steaming. My husband and I each made our own drinks and it couldn't be easier. This will be fun to make affogatos in the summer months!

I've been able to make a tasty drip coffee and a cappuccino. I wouldn't say the final product is a true espresso, hence the minus one star. It's easy to clean and easy to use. Having a built-in frother is a plus for me, and I was able to test this product as a sample. I looked up the price, and at this price point, I definitely think it's worth it! The machine is also small, and I was able to place it near my K-cup machine for everyday use.

We were surprised by the ease of making excellent, piping hot custom coffees without any training! 😁 It has extremely clear instructions and is user friendly in all aspects. It is also quite simple to froth the milk as the coffee comes out. The only thing that maybe was a bit difficult was sliding the coffee holder into the slot, while holding the unit, but mainly because my hands are small, as hands go, and notably, my hubby had no difficulty. Otherwise, we have already recommended it to our friends and family and many have had the pleasure of being our taste testers as we sampled different methods and flavors. They were surprised to know how affordable it was also, from their web search. I believe we have used it enough to say that we don't want to be without one from now on‼️😁

The machine I was using was taking up so much precious counter space and was a hassle to use (cleaning tablets, calibration and extensive cleaning after use). The IMUSA machine changed all of that. The IMUSA machine is MUCH smaller and compact than my other espresso machine, the cleaning is a breeze and I love that it has a milk frothed for steaming milk. Overall I would definitely recommend this espresso machine and am very impressed! I received this product for free in exchange for writing the review.

I'm not an expert at steaming my oat milk, but I am getting better! I do love that by steaming the milk, I don't cool down my espresso. I am giving it 4/5 stars because it doesn't produce a crema on the espresso. Perhaps user error? Regardless, for the price it is all worth it.
