Q: Why has Dreft changed the scent of the Newborn formula? It stinks. I have a 4yr old so we last used Dreft circa 2017/2018 & it was truly a light baby powder fresh scent. M I have no other words for it. It stinks. Please go back to original scent.

I did a pick up order and the measuring cap for this item was not there. It’s very disappointing when you are unable to physically get the items yourself and you trust target employees to get the items for you.

Liquid detergent

I use this product because it does not contain products that cause irritation of my baby’s skin, it removes the residues of his clothes leaving each garment soft and with a very pleasant aroma.

Effective and Clean

Love this laundry detergent! I was skeptical at first since it did have a little bit of a scent and my newborns skin is sensitive but we’ve had no issues. The detergent has worked well in getting out the small stains in clothes, sheets, etc and the milk/spit up smell out of burp cloths. Definitely would recommend this product and will be gifting it to friends when they have babies.

Was surprised

I've been purchasing this soap for many years. Kids/grandkids with no issues until I decided to get the larger one, and to my surprise when I went to use it, it's like a quarter of the detergent was missing. It didn't spill during delivery either, so is this something new from the company you get less, or did I get a used item? Called Target though, and they made it right. I will still with the smaller sizes from now on.

Dreft detergente baby

I've always used it with my two children and I like it; it has good lather and doesn't cause allergies in my babies. It's quite reasonably priced and a gallon lasts me about a month.

Scent Is WAY Too Strong for Babies

I grew up in a Dreft household and have long considered it a reliable and trusted brand. I was excited to unseal a new bottle after all these years to use on my newborn’s clothes, expecting to get a whiff of that nostalgic baby powder scent. I was horribly disappointed. As another reviewer described it, the current formula smells like “florals and cigarettes.” It is so overpowering and nothing like I remember. After trying it on my own clothes and winding up with a headache, I tossed the bottle in the trash.

I love this Dreft stage soap that its smell is the classic and emblematic baby smell its intensity unlike regular detergents its foam is controlled and efficient as it is formulated to be compatible in traditional washing machines as in high efficiency (HE) it produces a very moderate amount of foam its sensitivity in skin care but its strongest point is specifically formulated for the extremely delicate skin of newborns, its ingredients are free of chlorine, dyes and added phosphates.🥰

Perfect detergent for newborn clothes!

I love using Dreft for my baby’s clothes. It’s very gentle on sensitive newborn skin and leaves everything soft, clean and smelling amazing. I also love that it cleans well without being too harsh. Definitely my favorite detergent for baby laundry.
