    Not sure it's worth the money

    I’m very conflicted. I bought two of these since they were highly recommended. The vacuum itself operates satisfactorily but the battery life has depleted over the few months I have owned them. I am now barely able to vacuum two rooms of my small to regular sized house. The battery life lasts around 15-20 minutes. This is highly inefficient and beyond frustrating.

    Hard Pass

    Absolutely hate this product. Perhaps better suited for in between maintenance cleanup, or a home free of toddlers or any pets, but this vacuum does constantly despite being plugged in, doesn’t suck up much of anything, and constantly has debris falling out the bottom when we go to hang it up. We don’t use this product for large messes or anything, and we keep the filter clean and chamber free from build up. I don’t feel like we’re doing any sort of “heavy lifting” with it, but I am so disappointed that it does not stay charged and leaves a mess behind or just spread out more across the floor. It “looks clean” until you realize everything has just been re-distributed. I like the idea, not a fan of the product. Giving three stars in case it truly is just user-error/the type of home we have, but not impressed at all, especially not for the price.

    Good Hoover, Poor Battery Performance

    I recently bought a Dyson V8 and overall it works fine, but the battery life is disappointing. It definitely doesn’t run for the advertised 40 minutes. Even on normal use, the charge drops much faster than expected. For the price, I expected the battery performance to be better.

    Thanks Mr Dyson for your Wonderful Cleaners!

    I have been using Dyson made vacuum cleaners for over 35 years. In that time I have had 3 upright cleaners. I didn't realise what I was missing out on by not upgrading to a stick vacuum earlier. I love the weight - so light. It's so maneuverable and quick to change from stick to hand held. It's also so easy to clean and maintain. Before I began to use it I took advantage of the online resources and watched each of the videos. They were such a help, I didn't need to spend ages over trying to read and work out from the paper manual. Thanks Mr Dyson, I haven't owned a different brand and I don't expect I ever will.

    Quiet, efficient

    Had Dyson animal cordless for years, was getting tired, purchased V8 Advanced, It’s very good, has great suction, very quiet, little bit heavier than old one, but dust container easier to empty. Only problem we have is the small Velcro strip on small nozzle came off first time used.

    Pull out handle?

    I love the machine. I had one before but it was starting to lose suction so I purchased a new one. When I pull the red lever to empty the canister the whole unit pulls out. It has done that several times. My Dyson before did not ever do that. Could I be doing something wrong? I was shocked the first time and all the dirt fell on the floor and was holding the unit with the red handle in my hand.

    Time for a new one.

    We had a Dyson "stick" for about ten years. Now the battery wouldn't hold a charge. No problem with the vac itself. We liked the one we had. Time for a new one.....a V8! Ergonomics is the topic. Not a large problem. Just this guy, Mr. "Art", is starting to visit us more often at our age. Some of the red buttons and red sliders are hard to work with. Not a huge problem......just Mr. Art and old age are. We will be buying a crevis tool as one did not come with the V8. Not a product problem. My spouse and I do like this Stick Vac and recomend it.

    Great vacuum…especially for stairs!

    My old Dyson stick vacuum had finally died and wasn’t worth repairing so we decided to invest in a new one. This one is excellent. I have a Dyson robot vac for my floors but needed something light and easy to use for all of our carpeted stairs (we hav cats so always have hair on the stairs). It’s so easy to use and only takes a few minutes to do a great clean of our stairs. It comes with many attachments which I will use on our furniture and our vehicles. Dyson vacs are always worth ever penny.

    My second dyson - the last one gave up after about 10 trouble free years - the battery gav up. I love this new one - much quieter and easier to empty
