A: Yup. Believe the reviews. The battery lasts you about 3 uses depending on the size of your home. It takes me approximately five minutes to vacuum my whole house and regardless if I charge it all night it dies on you.

Light, easy to manage but poweful
This is our first Dyson vacuum and we've only had it a few weeks, but already I see what all the fuss is about. While others may have cordless stick-style vacuums, the power of the Dyson compared to its wait and runtime are surprising. It easily handles 1800 sf of hardwood floors in one session, with more power to do the stairs. Very happy with our purchase!

Battery Time Low
Seems like a decent enough vac. Works well and has good suction. However, even from fully charged, the battery runtime is only about 10-15 minutes. This is NOT enough to accomplish my floors. Charging time then is ridiculous as it takes literally hours to recharge. To be honest, I feel we got roughly the same performance from a cheap-o stick vac we had previously. I'm upset to have spent this kind of money for it. The only hope is that it lasts in multiples of time longer than the cheap one to substantiate the purchase price.

So far a little disappointing
Although I read the information carefully about Run Time, ie UP TO 40 mins with (NO Motorised Tools) the Run time of 5-7 min Max -in Max Mode is really disappointing Power Mode is of course longer, but does seem very powerful? This model is not really much of an improvement to the old V8 model in that regard. Early days yet, glad I didnt pay full RRP. The 3 stage Battery Charging Lights is an improvement, and its cuts off when fully charged, thats good

Can't go back to other vacuums after a Dyson
I had a Dyson V7 before and when it was time to buy a new vacuum I did not even think about any other brand. I do think they're a bit overpriced though, so you should wait for a sale/discount to get one.

Good vacuum for recommendations
My new dyson v8 is good, the motor is quiet and the suction on carpet is good. The filter is easy to clean and the vacuum is very handy to use. After charge, the runtime is good for vacuuming the house.

Great job!
I have had my Dyson for about three weeks now and it is great. My only complaint is you have to keep holding onto the “go button “ to make it function. It would be nice if you just pushed it once then flicked it off when you had finished. I now have a blister on my hand where it rubs while I am holding the switch button down while I vacuum. Other than that that it’s great and I am a vacumcleaneraholic!
