    Disappointing battery

    Maneuverability

    I hate that you have to keep your finger on the button while vacuuming; otherwise, it turns off. It shouldn’t work like that for the fortune I paid.

    Great for dog fur cleanup up off all surfaces

    Very happy with the V8 this is our second Dyson vac. We liked the first one so much we bought a second for at our cottage. We have a dog that sheds 12 months of the year and this vac has made fur cleanup a much easier task.

    Surging

    This is my 2nd V8 which is why I ordered another one, I really liked my 1st one, This one has only been used 3 times and when you are say vacuuming the couch (we have no pets or kids), it surges and dies out and it is fully charged. Filter is not dirty and the canister is empty, so not sure what is wrong. May have to return it.

    Not sure it’s as good as our older version.

    We ordered this as a replacement from our previous Dyson absolute V7. I am disappointed that the regular suction does not seem to be as strong as our much older previous vacuum. It works great on Max, but of course, that drains the battery. For the price ones pays for these vacuums, I do think they should rate higher than “average”

    Defective power source

    So...I've had two of these. The first one worked once and quit. The second one worked for just shy of a year and then had the same problem (battery/power source died...won't even work plugged in). Don't waste your money.

    Too much Noise

    This is my second Dyson. My first one lasted many years and during those years I replaced a few items on it. This new one makes a lot of noise and an annoying humming sound. Not so good. Is there something wrong with it HUMMM who knows.
