Had the cleaner a few weeks now, it's every bit as good as I was expecting, no need now for a mains cleaner as this tackles every job with ease, very well made and terrific suction, would highly recommend

Disappointed
It was a Mother’s Day gift. Very happy at first, then when start using it, very disappointed. The battery power does not last during 45 minutes as advertised. A mere 20/25 minutes, then stop working. I checked that it was well plug in. It was. 2nd trial ( with again full battery charged) same thing. Not enough to vacuum half of my house. It lasted 25 minutes. Very disappointing.

Not great
The battery life is not great, it’s a good vacuum for spot cleaning but other than that the quality is not as expected for the brand. Rather disappointed in the purchase.

Problem
I was thrilled on April 7 2026 when I received my dysonV8. Last night I tried my vacuum and it wouldn't work so I carefully plugged it in and this morning tried again. The lights on the side of the holder came on. Left it for 4 hours, went back to try it again and NOTHING HAPPENED. Please tell me what is wrong Have not book, only Q quick start paper in the box. Pleased with the suction of the machine. Battery lasts to do all my vacuuming. A bit heavy to hold in my hands. With pets in the home, needs to be emptied quite often. Quiet machine.

Very pleased with it!
We bought it 2 weeks ago and we are very happy with it! It’s definitely an improvement from our previous V6. It collects long human hairs much better than the other one and they don’t get tangled as they did in the other one. The suction is much better too and it comes with many more handy gadgets.

Cleans great but emptying is an issue
I love the Dyson machine except on this model I’m having difficulty emptying the bin. It’s not as well thought out as the rest of the machine. There are three ways to empty but none are smooth and easy. The first method of pulling the trash tab towards you doesn’t release the catch on the bottom of the machine. And it’s hard to push the tank/engine back down. Completely don’t comprehend the second method by pushing down on the top. The third method works but is not easy. And you can’t do it “on the move”. It looks like it would be but it’s too frustrating and you have to stop, remove the stick to maneuver and hope the clip releases.

You can’t go wrong with a Dyson.
Although it’s a refurbished unit it works great, it came with all its attachments. no complaints. I had a v6 unit that I got from the dump, all it needed was a new battery & it lasted for many years. I’m sure this v8 unit will last just as long.

NO REGRETS in buying ever!! Great suction! I had dropped a Brussels sprout that went under the frig and the Dyson pulled it out!!! Love that it is lightweight and easy to maneuver on carpet or solid floors!

Good vacuum
