Stinky Cleaner?

WOW, this product has left my dishwasher reeking of chemicals and maybe a melted plastic smell! The instructions for this product tell you to remove a sticker on the top of the cap (leaving in place a wax seal) and then to place it upside down in the bottom rack, and run the dishwasher at its highest heat setting. The toxic plume that came out of the dishwasher when we opened it afterward was so pungent and awful. It's like a combination of those overkill fragrances used in fabric softener beads plus melted plastic fumes plus chemical cleaner smells. After a week of daily use, our machine still reeks but just a little less than the first day. I regret using this. I gave 2 stars because my washing machine doesn't have the icky organic smell I wanted to get rid of by using it, so in one way it kind of worked. I absolutely do not recommend this product. It feels like it's gassing us with unhealthy things.

Cleans but leave bad smell

It cleaned my dishwasher well but left a strong chemical smell for more than 2 weeks and we run our dishwasher once a day. The smell was present on all the dishes that came out too.

Total waste!

Product did not work, it stayed full. I ran the dishwasher twice. The first time the wax did not melt, so it stayed full. The second time I ran it, I removed half of the wax to expose the hole and by the time the dishwasher finished, the product never came out. Waste of money, time, water, and electricity.

Scent won't go away!

This product needs to be discontinued. Is it even food safe? My dishwasher is clean, but the scent will not go away and our dishes smell like it too. Now we have to handwash everything, like I don’t have a dishwasher! Seriously considering buying a new dishwasher to get rid of the awful smell from this product!!
