    Good watch

I got the watch 2 weeks ago, and have worn it around the clock to check it out. its a good watch, but there are some features that could be improved. it seem the face could have been though through to make it more useable. I bought the watch for the monitor capabilities, but many of the features are so small, like the heart rate, and is covered up by the watch hands at time. I cannot get the heart rate to be a bigger display, and when I use the "heart rate" function, the display is larger, but still small, and will go dark so it cannot be a continuous monitor. the watch has lots of features, but not all are easy to use, and the funtionality is interrupted by the watch itself. seems the software can be more intuitive and user friendly. the numbers on the face are weird, some turned upside down, which is hampered by all of the numbers being 2 digits, instead of just the 2 digit numbers [10, 11, 12]. it seems be an engineers notion of functionality, but is not really functional at all time. and when I am riding my bike and the face goes dark, and I have to use my other hand to bring the face light on when riding. many of the features could have been more thoroughly thought through.

Was a longtime loyal Fitbit wearer. Difficult switching, but found the Venue 3 such an advancement in so many ways. I love the many features especially the sleep coaching and monitoring which has really helped me maintain a better sleep routine. I’m also looking forward to the Jet Lag feature for my trip to Thailand. Overall, I feel I made the best choice.

I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I love it. It has great features and I wore it for 2 weeks before I had to charge it. I am selling my Apple Watch Ultra 2 it isn’t nearly as good.

I think this watch is pretty good overall. I've had several fenix, ambit, and samsung watches in the past and this was sort of a middle ground between all those. I liked the smart watch features although not as good as the Samsung, but it is a much better fitness watch than the Samsung, although not to the ambit or fenix. I ultimately replaced with the fenix 8 as it has several of the same smart watch features in a better, but more more expensive, overall package.

I like the size and interface on the Venu 3. It is well constructed watch. I gave it 4 stars because I am still having issues with the heart rate monitor in the gym and while biking

I very much like the aesthetics of the watch, e.g., size, colors of face, layout. Unfortunately, I do get frustrated with toggling from menu to menu. Programming not intuitive. Most concerning is that I cannot connect to GPS. I think it has something to do with the fact that I workout in my basement.

This was a upgrade I am coming from that original Venu gen 1. This Venu 3 is much much better I was having 1 issue which was sorta annoying. Bluetooth connection was disconnecting from watch for weeks while I would be resting in bed phone on dresser right next to me . This bluetooth disconnection only happened while laying in bed and watch on my left wrist. Also if I would hold phone in left hand right above watch on left wrist it would disconnect. Strange but as of a few days ago I am no longer having bluetooth disconnection issues. So happy!

All things considered the Venu 3 has done more for me than the Apple Watch I have used. The only thing I don’t like is the glass. For the price point, I think the glass should be tougher.

Love the Watch, battery time is great and a lot of great features. I just wish it had more sports in the list of activities, I play handball and would love to just press ”handball” in activities when I have training, rather then having to manually add it after every workout

I absolutely love the health and performance data that is available on Garmin. I will keep it due to the data and options but it has some room for improvement. I’m a pretty tech savvy person but the set up and ongoing update process requires a lot more than an Apple Watch. I had to download two apps and software to add Spotify to my watch or upload watch faces. I was successful but the process is far from smooth and can use refinement. Another con is the transfer of data to other apps such as Apple Health and Pacer. I have pretty much lost my data because it doesn’t sync consistently even when I try to help with the sync process. Beyond that the battery life and access to performance data will keep me using my Garmin.

I bought this to replace my Fitbit Sense which died. I loved that Sense, but this Garmin is proving to be a good alternative. It gives me lots of information, and I do not have to buy a subscription--I refuse to buy a watch that won't give me info without a subscription. I am still learning all its features. I've discovered all the watch faces I can download. I love design and color--- I wouldn't buy a watch without it.

So I had a FitBit Sense 2 for about two years. As you know, they FitBits are being discontinued and now everything is with the Google Pixel watch. This watch has a horrible battery life (28 hours) so that was a major deal breaker. Also the watch would not accurately count all of my steps. did not accurately measure my distance in a walking workout, and would report wild fluctuations in pulse. My Venu accurately counts my steps. It accurately records distance, whether running or walking. My pulse rises gradually during a run. I do not have to continually watch it during a run, but can rather focus on my pace per lap, etc. The metrics displayed during a run or a walk are numerous and totally customizable. The pace per lap has helped me to get consistent km times and lets me know if I have to push the final minute to get under my goal per km. There is an audible notification at each km so I don't have to be looking down for the last .05 km. It tells me "lap X" so I know how many km I have done and it tells me the km split time plus the cumulative time for a km I have run thus far. The choices for watch faces is practically unlimited. You can search for a theme and chances are you will find one that you like. Many are free and many are customizable. I found a nice Star Trek face. Setup was easy. The watch syncs with my phone nicely. I get all kinds of notifications, texts, email, phone calls, etc. The Garmin Connect app has way too much stuff for me to list here. I think unless you are a serious runner training for a specific race, the Venu 3 should be sufficient for your workout needs.
