It worked for about six months before the plastic molding that clipped together to hold the brush cover broke and I couldn’t get suction anymore because the mechanism was now loose. I discovered this when trying to dry the floor and couldn’t.

I have had mine for two years. It has always worked very well. Love that you don’t have to hold down a lever to get to wash. Also like that you don’t have to measure and mix the cleaning fluid. One problem I just had was the cleaning fluid is leaking out. Will need to get it repaired. This is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars. When it’s not leaking it is the easiest and best carpet cleaner I have owned.

This works so well! We have a dog and carpets. When I used this our carpets looked better than when we paid a professional company to clean them.

Absolutely the best investment totally worth the price, simply amazing and love how you can disassemble for cleaning! Hoover you rocked my world with this one!!!

I don't like having to remove the soap container, just to rinse because it drip after removal and have to find somewhere to place it, other than that everything is Awesome 👌

Im 65 and this is my 3rd Hoover machine, I was really skeptical of this smartwash crap and I was right apparently, it's very light and cheap made, I have only used it once in a very small area and now I go to use once again and it won't pick up the dispensed water. I actually had to use my older Hoover for help.

Purchased last month and it really does a great job.

I absolutely loved my smart wash I followed the rules to a t. I always cleaned the brushes after each use cleaned all the tanks and dried them before I put it away. Then one day I fill my water and soap and start the machine and it's making this God awful noise. Very very loud I flipped machine over and took a look and everything's clean ...is there any saving it I haven't even had it for a year. I really loved this machine and now I'm so disappointed

Cleans fine but the build quality is seriously lacking. We've had this for about 2 years, not sure about the exact date. We've had 2 major issues. 1. The Suction Nozzle handle broke almost immediately (less than 2 days after opening the box). Hoover did supply a replacement part for this as they should have. 2. The clips that hole the solution tank in place do literally nothing now. If you don't hold the solution tank down, it leaks and will empty in a few minutes. The clips aren't broken, they simply don't work.

Very disappointed It leaves carpets wet after trying to dry. This was a replacement after the first one failed it was still under warranty. It's only been a year since the replacement. It still has time in the warranty. I do not feel it's worth the effort to drive 70 miles to have the same problem again. The last few Hoover items I had purchased were not worth the money spent.

I am a senior with a pet. This has been a life saver. Easy to use, clean.

This is our second one. The other one lasted over 10 years ... Gave that 1 away and got a new one.... Great water, pick up.

This is best shampooer and its so light and easy to use

This has absolutely surpassed my expectations of a carpet cleaner. The only small downside is it does leave the carpet a little damp even after switching it to just dry.

Okay I bought this cleaner during Covid but I never took it out of the box because I had so much going on in my life. Then I got sick and spent time in the hospital and now I’m beginning to feel a little better I decided to open and use this product because my carpet needs cleaning desperately. First I cleaned an area rug and it looked brand new so I tried my family room and the carpet is beautiful. The cleaner is easy to use and the water was disgustingly dirty so I know that it works. Now I’m on to other floors in the house! I hate that I waited so long to use it!

This machine lasted less than two years. The impeller broke, rendering the upholstery attachment useless. The price tag does not match the poor quality. I’m incredibly disappointed, as I took great care of the machine, always careful to wash and dry the brushes, tanks, and other user-facing components. In spite of my efforts, the poor quality of the machine inevitably caused it to break down through normal and careful use.

I have a been a loyal carpet cleaner for many years. I recently bought the smartwash automative carpet cleaner. The wash mode works but the dry mode not so much. It does not dry the carpet and if you use just the "dry cycle only" to pick up excess water it trips the electric circuit breaker. Looking for a new carpet cleaner.

I took it out of the box, followed the instructions, and attempted to use it just once. Unfortunately, it didn't work at all. No water came out, and the machine didn't seem to be functioning properly. I was expecting a high-quality product, but this thing didn't even get the job done once. Given its poor performance right out of the box, I'm concerned about the build quality and durability of this product. As a brand new purchase, I expected it to work flawlessly, but it seems like I got a dud. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing defect or a design flaw, but either way, I'm not impressed. The fact that it didn't work even once is frustrating, and I'm now left wondering if I should return it or try to get a replacement. If you're considering purchasing the Hoover Smart Wash, I'd advise you to think twice and maybe look into other options. Until Hoover proves otherwise, I'd say avoid this product. Maybe it's just a one-off issue, but based on my experience, I wouldn't take the risk.

I have had my hoover for a few years and now all of a sudden the hose on it has a hole in it and it no longer sucks up the water it spews out onto my carpet so now I just have a disgusting carpet and hoover does not have online where you can purchase another hose attachment. I am more disappointed than anything especially after paying what I did.
