It makes a beep when it's done toasting which is nice because sometimes I get distracted when waiting for my bread to toast. I have gone through like 4 different toasters and this is the only one that toasts my thick wheat bread evenly.

Wished we would have done that a long time ago. We always knew KitchenAid makes superior products. And this is no different. It cooks very evenly. Settings make toasting accurate. Can not say enough great things about it. KitchenAid is the only products we look for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the looks of the toaster especially the red body but have found problems with the workings of the toaster. When it toasts it has one side darker then the other, and the bread gets tough to cut. I love the whistle sound when the toaster is finished and the lift, but the knobs that you adjust darkness and lightness are not tight and move freely. Also, the lever that takes the bread down does not latch the first time, have to bounce it a couple of times. I am 84 years old so I just use it but can;t say I am overly happy with it but it works.
