(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this in the last month and I’m disappointed. I used it a couple of times and the power of the motor barely whips egg whites.

The 5 speed Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer is the BEST all around mixer that money can buy! I can do anything with this mixer that I can do with my KA stand mixer, but with less hassle and no clutter on my counter top. It’s handy and can be used for any cooking or baking that requires a mixer. I even make yeast bread dough with it using the dough hooks from my old KA hand mixer and IMHO it kneads bread dough better than the stand mixer does, and I’ve been making all of our bread for the last 7 years. If you need a good, dependable, handy mixer get this one, you won’t be disappointed.
Light weight, easy to handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased it about two months and used it for the first time over Memorial Day weekend. It worked remarkably, it power through food preparation nicely. The mixer it replace was about 35 years old. The mixing power was noticeable which sped up the food preparation.

If you purchase, be aware you have to purchase mixer beaters separately. Only comes with wisking beater. Returned immediately, useless to me without the regular beaters, and able to buy much less expensive that included 3 different beaters.

I find this hand mixer very convenient. Much better than pulling out my stand mixer. I was surprised by the power with just the first speed. I used it to make a dip with cream cheese and it whipped it up quickly. So convenient to make it in the same bowl I want to serve it in. Clean up is a breeze. Happy with my purchase.
Lightweight but poor accessories

After 20 years I was forced to buy a new mixer and was immediately suspect of the thin beater attachments. 5 uses later one of the attachments was mangled. What a waste of labor, materials, shipping when products aren't quality made.
Perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with purchase! Throwing my old hand mixer away immediately!! This increase in voltage makes it so much easier to mix doughs and cakes etc. especially heavier doughs like oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough or carrot cake with walnut cookie dough! (My new favorite cookie!)

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My old hand mixer stopped working. I knew I wanted to replace it with a Kitchen aid one. I have the large stand mixer and love it so it was a no brainer for me. And boy am I glad I did. This hand mixer not only look good but it works really well. It’s light weight but oh so powerful.I would 100 precent recommend this mixer!

This feels like a toy when you pick it up. All moving parts are cheap plastic. The only metal are the beaters, and they're so thin I feel like I could break them when I'm washing them. The beaters don't fit in to the mixer properly, you have to wiggle them and jiggle them to get them in. They don't just click in. Then when you turn it on, it's wobbly, the beaters kind of hit against each other because they're not balanced properly. And there is zero power to this thing, you turn it all the way to high and it's barely enough to do anything. I cannot believe that KitchenAid put this product on the market. It is insulting. I will be returning mine. The Cuisinart one isn't much better I bought that and it was a little better but bad enough to return it. This one is a joke. So this one's getting returned and today I gave up, I went to my local thrift stores and found like a 40-year-old Hamilton Beach mixer. It's a tank and it's awesome and it'll probably last me till I'm dead. It was $3.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used so far for making whipped cream. Enjoy our professional grade kitchenaid mixer for most other cooking needs. Only wish you could stand the mixer up on its end while in between using without having to take out a beater or single whipping attachment. So leaning it up against a small bowl with cord coming out the side for me is awkward. Thx

This is my third time buying this same mixer, and I don't know why some features were changed. The beaters are slightly different, and while the cord was changed to move out of the way that update was rendered useless by changing the shape of the back of the mixer so that it doesn't sit flat on the counter next to the bowl, it constantly tips back when I set it down.
