Stopped working after 2 1/2 years
I bought this microwave for a remodel and It was manufactured in January 2023 and installed that spring. In August 2025 it stopped working. The interior light stopped coming on and the microwave hums but doesn't heat anything. A little over 2 years working is not long enough in my opinion.

do not buy
absolute garbage. went thru 2 of these in the last 5 years. The most frustrating part is that we dont even use the microwave often. Both times there was no fixing it, we had to replace the microwave completley.

Manufactured in July 2022, purchased and installed January 2023, screen flickering a year later and now stopped heating April 2025. 2 years of use. RIP.

Great but Screen Issues
Microwave works great but all of a sudden the screen started flickering and even after unplugging the unit from power it continued flickering.

Terrible lifespan

Templates missing and then non useable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tried to install ourselves. The new over the range microwave came with no installation instructions and no template. LG sent us the templates but they did not match the microwave. We ended up drilling holes in the top cabinet in the wrong places. It seems as if the templates were back to front or upside down. In the end we used common sense but one of the long holding screws is leaning so our microwave has a slight slant towards the front.The template for the back wall has the vent cut-out in the wrong place and does not match where the exhaust motor is at the back of the microwave. Now the cooking smells blow around the sides and at the top of the microwave back into the kitchen.

No Timer !?
Microwave does not have a "Timer" function. I've never seen a microwave without a timer before. It does have a button called "Time" but apparently that just means "Cook Time." Which is the same as the basic function of the microwave. So that button is entirely redundant and useless. Everything else has worked okay so far (only been 2 months). Our builders installed this with our new home. If we had a choice, we would have gone with something else.

Don't purchase
We purchased this microwave 3 years ago. For the past 1.5 years its been inconsistent (off/on) in being able to heat food. Today it died on us. Spend your money on another microwave.

LG - Life is not Good!
Do not buy! I have purchased 3 of this model in the past 8 years. The first one quit working after approximately two years, the second one had the handle fall off after a couple of years. The third and current one we have, the LED timer started to malfunction, and then the handle broke! Why do I keep buying the same one? Because I am afraid the exhaust vent won’t line up with a different model or manufacture.

Great performance, but no Express Cook or Timer
I bought this a few weeks ago, and discovered that it did not have Express Cook (defined as press a number to start cooking for that amount of time) or true Kitchen Timer feature. (There are settings for "automatically" cooking various foods, but no auto-start by pressing a number. The manual says that once the microwave is already cooking, you can start a kitchen timer function by pressing Time > number(s) > Power > 0. I would characterize that as an abomination more than a kitchen timer.) My workaround for express cooking is to press the "Add 30 seconds" button multiple times until the total equals the time I want. Otherwise, we're very happy with it: It's got a large turntable compared to other brands; cooks evenly; and the only sound I can detect is quiet ventilation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our last LG microwave was great, then it died. We purchased this a year ago, it works, but it's not fantastic. It's just a microwave. Potato button doesn't get the job done. And there's no timer for the light, which the old one had. No "beverage" button either. It works, but is/was a step down from the old model.

Besides the great looks of it all the different features to heat and cook are great,one button operation. It's also nice that there is more room in the interior itself,great product and looks great with all of our other LG products in stainless steel.

Works Fine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model to replace another brand that died a bit early. It works fine and has plenty of space, no real bells or whistles. I gave it 3 stars because it does not have a timer (we use the microwave timer quite a bit for multi-dish dinners) and it’s not the quietest microwave - a bit loud when it runs and when the the vent fan is on.

Simply enter the cooking time as normal, then select the power level and press 0 on the number pad. Once your settings are configured, click Start. This will count down the timer without cooking. Do not buy - falls apart in myriad ways
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's less than two years old, and I'm on this site because I need dimensions so I can replace it. The door handle broke twice (had to replace the entire door), the display completely failed over a few months and now doesn't work at all (so we just have been using 30 second increments) and now the big piece fell off the top (completely broken, cannot reattach). What a piece of garbage.

Bad display
Display flashes, got fixed. Broke again. Lg won't fix the second time.plus open and closing door is very loud
