LG LW1024RD 10,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White

I bought this LG window not even a year ago and it’s not blowing cool air. I have another brand and it was installed the same time and blowing cold air. Waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new 12,000 btu LG air conditioner. The install was quite simple if your windows are perfectly square, but mine are not. You must pull the center of the unit out first and install the outer frame first. It was quite challenging to put the faceplate on the unit at the end and get it to stay attached correctly. I was able to fix the situation. Overall the directions are simple and easy to follow overall. This unit sits in the window very sturdy so no worries of it falling out randomly. Other than that is has been amazing. The air quality is great. This Lg A/C cools my whole downstairs level fast and efficiently. It can handle 1000 square feet no problem. I can keep my living room, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and dining room at a nice and cool temperature all day long. I love when my house is cold during the summer and this will definitely get the job done. Its very quiet and runs smooth. I barely can tell it’s running. It also comes with a simple and easy to use remote. This is a big window unit so make sure it will fit before purchasing. LG is usually really good with the energy consumption but we will see in the future. Overall a great A/C unit to have, especially for big areas. I will definitely be comfortable and cool all summer long..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good unit does what it meant to do cool and quiet, it's a little beast it does cool nicely and the dry out function seem to work to over all a great product with good air flow, easy install and you can definitely run this on a portable generator if you have 700w I would say it's energy efficient if you compare it to other units.

It comes with a remote which is nice! It also has the foam gasket to help insulate the unit and reduce any light coming through

I’m sure in a room on a window it would work even better. Didn’t really notice the noise as I have my music loud all the time in in the garage so can’t tell if the unit is loud or quiet. Definitely would recommend for addtl cooling for a small room.

The energy saver works great and cuts off when it reaches the desired temperature. The fan and compressor are very quiet when kicking on and when at use. Being able to adjust the air flow direction up and down, and left to right, makes it a great addition to this air conditioner. We live in Florida so it definitely is coming in handy. It works well and I highly recommend it. The side shutters shut perfectly and seals great.

Nicely packaged with a bag of small screws and brackets easy to access right on top of the box. Removed the air conditioner from the box and installed the top bracket, then the 2 side brackets in about 3 minutes. Install the 2 included batteries in the remote. That was it besides putting it in the window. Removing the protective clear plastic from the front, plugging in, and turning on. I was so surprised at how quiet this unit is being 8000 btu, I thought it would be loud. Not at all. Think of a small box fan on low. You can set this on a 24-hour timer to make your own cooling pattern. Has the typical high,med, and low settings. All are pretty quiet. Easy to read digital display and super easy to understand remote control with power and only 5 buttons. Temp up and down, fan speed, timer, and mode. It is so easy to use. This unit came with 3 extra optional L brackets that you can attack to the top of your window to keep it secure. It's not needed for me, but it'll keep your window from moving up and down if you've got little ones running around. This unit gets down to temperature fairly quickly. We used it in a 400 sq ft room with cathedral ceilings, and it cooled down easily. Im impressed. You won't be disappointed with this LG air conditioner! Enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG 8000 BTU Air Conditioner is perfect for our bedroom. The air conditioner cools 350 sq ft and our room in a little over 100 sq ft, so it works very well at getting the room cold and keeping it cold. The LG 8000 BTU Air Conditioner has 3 cooling speeds/3 fan speeds. I really like that I can set it to only run the fan on the nights when an air conditioner isn’t necessary. There’s also a dry setting as well as an eco setting, but I’ve yet to use either of those features. The LG 8000 BTU Air Conditioner comes with everything you need to install it, though we were missing a brace, but thankfully it wasn’t one of the ones we needed to use for our window. The side panels fit into our window frame perfectly, and we only needed to cover up a few small openings. We mostly run the air conditioner at night and I can say honestly that this air conditioner is not very loud at all, not even when it kicks off and back on to regulate the temperature. This air conditioner isn’t very heavy, weighing just shy of 60 pounds, so it’s not very difficult to lift and install, though it does still require two people. There are a few design flaws, several dents on top of the outer metal housing, but they don’t affect the way the air conditioner works. This is a great air conditioner, and I hope to enjoy it for many years to come.
