When applied under makeup, the weightless primer also helps keep makeup looking fresh, for beautiful looks that last all day. This pore-blurring primer is formulated with niacinamide and helps blur the look of pores for a more even complexion. The blurring primer is also free of parabens, mineral oils & dyes, and is non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog pores. I have a very oily t zone and this did nothing for it. Does not "blur" pores and wrinkles like other primers. More just like a lotion.

Good shine control for older skin
I am 70 years old with combination skin : oily in Tzone, dry elsewhere, large pores. This product works well to control shine and soften the overall look of skin. It does not settle into small lines or creases. I use it over a light moisturizer or over sunscreen.

Terrible New Formula
I bought this product thinking they just changed the packaging for the original shine control primer. I was so disappointed to find out they completely changed the formula and it is nothing like the old one. It smells terrible and feels like I’m rubbing pure chemicals on my face. It also does absolutely nothing to control shine. The old product smelled amazing and was great at keeping my oily skin shine free. I have been using it for so many years but now I will sadly have to find a new product because this new formula is absolutely terrible. New formula, terrible product
I was hoping this was just repackaging of their previous Shine Control with rice protein primer which has been my holy grail for nearly 10 years for my oily skin. It is not, at all. This product did absolutely nothing to stop the shine or absorb an oil. I wore it indoors for a 3-hour event and my mattofying powder-based make up was practically melting off my face. Beyond that, this product was nearly impossible to get off my skin at the end of the night. I woke up with my skin still feeling tacky in places this was applied. Stay away.

As someone with oily skin, I've struggled to find a primer that actually helps control shine throughout the day, but this one really delivers. First off, I love how light and smooth it feels on my skin. It doesn't leave that greasy or heavy feeling that some primers do. And the best part? It really does help control shine. I've noticed a significant difference in how matte my skin looks, even after a long day. I've added a photo after a 9-hour shift for reference. I also appreciate that it's non-comedogenic, so I don't have to worry about it clogging my pores. Plus, it creates a great base for my makeup, helping it to stay in place and look fresh all day. I also like that it has squalene in it right near the top of the ingredients list, as well. Overall, I'm super happy with this primer and it's become a staple in my daily routine. If you struggle with oily skin like I do, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Keeps excess shine away
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great primer. I have combination skin - with a very oily t-zone and slightly dry cheeks. True to its name, it did keep excess shine at bay. I'd say that it seems to last anywhere from half to almost a full day for my skin. It also felt very nice and had a bit of a velvet-like texture after application.
